CJ reported to be in 'critical condition'

Chief Justice Zaki Azmi is reportedly facing medical complications following a fall at Putrajaya Hospital this morning.

Chief Justice critically ill after fall in hospital

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 — The country’s top judge Tun Zaki Azmi was rushed to the National Heart Institute earlier this morning and is believed to be in critical condition after taking a tumble in Putrajaya Hospital.

The 65-year-old is believed to suffer from low blood pressure and heart complications, Utusan Malaysia reported.

Zaki (picture), who became Chief Justice in October 2008, is due to retire on September 12 this year when he turns 66.
