The impact of selective freedom of speech

  1. I was not at the Anti-BERSIH 2.0 gathering where Ibrahim Ali raises the specters of May 13 at the rally launch. Whatever I say here is based on what is published on the alternative media and what was shown on TV3 and I take it as a true account on what was said during the event.

  2. I suffered from severe nausea when I read what was reported where Ibrahim Ali threatened the non Malays, provoke, and psyche the audience with what appears to be a game to him. He is raising the tension and had the cheek to say that he will not be responsible for any untoward incidents which may occur. He is probably the most irresponsible politician that I know. All this are happening under the immunity of BN government.

  3. Malaysia constitute of 45% of Non-Malays. I am not sure the general sentiment of the people in East Malaysia but I sensed the action of Perkasa is causing them to distance themselves from BN which is in general perceived as UMNO. I believe KJ action was acceptable and positively interpreted by many. The same cannot be said about Ibrahim Ali. If Najib is serious about winning the hearts and minds of the people he must manage Ibrahim Ali swiftly. Failure to do so is seen as an endorsement that can have serious repercussions.

  4. If 85% of the Non Malays comes out to cast their votes and assuming that 80% of those cast their votes against BN, I believe the days of BN as the government of the day is numbered. Its death is being accelerated by Ibrahim Ali. I believe under the circumstances the Malays will cast their vote for PAS and its allies. It is still not too late for Najib. Come July 9th and if Ibrahim Ali and his men create troubles for the people then I believed BN fate is sealed.
