KUALA LUMPUR - The magistrate's court wrapped up the inquest into the death of Selangor Customs assistant director Ahmad Sarbaini Mohamed on Thursday after 34 witnesses had given their evidence.
Coroner Aizatul Akma Maharani said he would deliver a verdict on Sept 26.
Investigation officer ASP Zuhairi Mohamed and forensic scientist Dr Seah Lay Hong were the last two witnesses to testify.
ASP Zuhairi told the court that he had classified Sarbaini's death as sudden death and not suicide or homicide.
This was because there was still an unanswered question as to why Sarbaini exited from the pantry.
Dr Seah said that two unknown DNA found on Sarbaini did not match the DNA of any MACC officers.
She said the unknown DNA matched the DNA of two individuals. The post-mortem on these two and Sarbaini were carried out on the same table at HUKM.
