Lawyer Datuk V.K. Lingam and 24 others were today ordered to answer contempt charges for alleging that a Federal Court bench had plagiarised a judgment.
A five-man Federal Court bench chaired by Tan Sri Suryadi Halim Omar said today there was no procedural error when two liquidators obtained leave to cite them for contempt.
"A prima facie case has been established against them," he said in dismissing the setting aside of the contempt proceeding by Lingam and the others.
The contempt proceedings will he heard on a date to be fixed.
MORE TO COME.
