Siti Khatijah Srikandi ( Isteri ) Nabi Muhammad Saw Yang Sangat Dikasihi..

Sesungguhnya Khadijah r.a. merupakan nikmat Allah

Rasulullah SAW bersabda, "Khadijah beriman kepadaku ketika orang-orang mengingkari. Dia membenarkan aku ketika orang-orang mendustakan.

Renung-renungkan...

Wang Rakyat dibelanjakan semasa Pemilihan UMNO?

Budak Perempuan Tingkatan Empat Lari Dari Rumah, Duduk Dengan Lelaki

Disebabkan Gaduh Dengan Akak

"Kenapa kamu lari dari rumah?". Tanya penguatkuasa.

Setakat bergaduh adik beradik jer. Pulak tu, pergi duduk rumah lelaki dah sebulan lebih. Dah tu, kepala dia tengah ting tong, termuntah-muntah akibat perbuatan orang.

Ingatkan lelaki tu nak selamatkan dia, rupanya melemaskan dan melanyak dia pula. Nak kata akal pendek, nanti dia marah kita pulak.

[VIDEO] Aktivis Berdemo Di Parlimen Bantah "ISA 2"

Sambil membawa plakad "tarik balik PCA", "tarik balik akta zalim", kumpulan berkenaan turut menggelarkan akta berkenaan ibarat Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA) 2.0.

~the malaysian insider

Zairil not a REAL MALAY as his mom is Chinese - disgruntled ex-DAP Malay members still DISSATISFIED

Zairil not a REAL MALAY as his mom is Chinese - disgruntled ex-DAP Malay members still DISSATISFIED
The Penang Malay Congress, DAP’s most vocal critic in the state, is still not satisfied with yesterday’s election results, which returned all of the party's 20 central executive members (CEC).
Its president Rahmad Isahak wants to know what has happened to the seven 'Melayu asli' (pure Malays) who contested the election, other than Zairil Khir Johari, who was re-elected.
Zairil, who is also the Bukit Bendera MP, made it to the 20th spot in the previous CEC election of the party, which was thrown out by the Registrar of Societies.
He came in 12th this time, with 1,132 votes.
Malay NGOs have criticised Zairil as "not a pure Malay" because his mother is Chinese.
Other Malay candidates who almost won seats were DAP senator Ariffin SM Omar (441 votes), Tengku Zulpuri Shah Raja Puji (441) and Ahmad Ton (351).
Former Penang municipal councillor Zulkifli Mohd Noor, who publicly denounced DAP the week before the polls, failed again to make it into the CEC.
As in the past, Ariffin and nine others were co-opted into the CEC, making it a 30-member committee.
“Criticism after criticism hurled at the party has not been heeded at all by the leadership. Instead the Malay veteran leaders continue to be punished without any pity,” Rahmad said in a statement.
“Whither the concept of multi-racialism, which has been supposedly been fought for by the DAP?
“Is it true that the Malays can depend on or find refuge under the DAP for now and forever?”
‘First class liability for the Malays’
Rahmad went on to say that it can no longer be disputed that the DAP appears to be a “first class liability” for Malays.
He questioned the fate of the Malays if Pakatan Rakyat were to seize Putrajaya from the BN in the 14th general election, due in 2018.
Rahmad said the DAP continues to preach that it is capable of defending Malay interests, saying the community’s support for Pakatan Rakyat had increased in the 13th general election.
“Racist statements and continuous lies have led to all the seven Malay candidates being rejected by the delegates,” he said.
“If they are able to help the Malays, how could all its seven leaders have lost in Sunday's polls?”
He said at least two or three Malay candidates must win instead of being appointed as “window dressing” merely to show that the party is multiracial.
“How long do the Malay DAP leaders want their dignity to be traded just to show there have value in the party?” he asked.
Rahmad was referring to Zulkifli, also a former DAP vice-chairperson, who lamented that Malays in the party were only worth ‘50 sen’ as he challenged DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng to quit his post.
Rahmad urged Pakatan component parties like PAS to review their relationship with the DAP, especially from the Islamic perspective.
“This is compulsory and must be given priority by PAS.”
He asked if PAS leaders are willing to continue supporting the DAP, which he described as “practising racism" and "a liability for PAS where Malay support is concerned”.
On Saturday, Rahmad had quit the DAP, although he had been sacked in April this year.
He did not accept the sacking then as the validity of the party’s CEC was in dispute.

'SPECIAL WEAPON' Zahid the new darling of the cops

'SPECIAL WEAPON' Zahid the new darling of the cops
PUTRAJAYA - OP Cantas has led to a drop in  crime by   10.2 per cent, says federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah.
He said the police had a "special weapon" to combat crime and described it as pivotal to the operation's success and would encourage the force to work harder.
"Our special weapon is none other than Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who has supported not only the Royal Malaysian Police, but all law enforcement agencies.
"He is committed to fighting crime.
"He may be strict, but he is fair at the same time. He is brave to take on the responsibility to fight crime.
"He is a minister who walks the talk and does not make empty promises," said Hadi at the Crime Prevention and Public Safety Forum held here on Saturday.
"Op Cantas has also helped reduce the number of cases involving serious crime and property theft, just two weeks after its implementation on Aug 17 to eradicate secret societies and individuals involved in violent crime, including murder, robbery, rape and fights.
"Police have inspected 139,342 people, resulting in 3,205 arrests. Some 32,254 cars were inspected, as well as 44,079 motorcycles and 7,678 other vehicles.
"The index for serious crime and property theft has been reduced to 13.8 per cent."
Hadi said individually, the index for serious crime and property theft was reduced to 17.3 per cent and 22.5 per cent respectively.
He said a 60 per cent reduction was recorded for cases of armed gang robbery, 55 per cent for murder, 29.2 per cent for robbery without weapons, 25.8 percent for armed robbery, 22 per cent for causing hurt, 8.9 per cent for extortion and 1.6 per cent for riots.
A reduction of 20.9 per cent was recorded for burglary, 19.9 per cent for van, lorry and heavy machinery theft, 14.8 per cent for car theft, 10.8 per cent for motorcycle theft and 3.2 per cent for other theft.
"A total of 2,118 items have been seized, of which 390 comprise weapons, 1,238 live bullets, 11 bullet slugs, 224 cars, 222 motorcycles and 33 lorries and other vehicles."
He said as at Aug 31, police had identified 54 organised gangs, of which three were Malay gangs, nine were Indian gangs and 42 were Chinese gangs, with 40,313 members identified.
Hadi said 379 members belonging to gangs that were involved in serious crime had been identified, adding that it the number was expected to increase.
He dismissed suggestions of the police being racist and described the force as "colour-blind" to race when crime had been committed.

Towards world-class education

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Farish-A-Noor.jpg
Here, one hopes that the leaders who take such steps will have the grit and wherewithal to bite the bullet when necessary, even at the risk of appearing unpopular in the short run.
But whatever decisions Malaysia may take in the near future, the fact is that the world is not about to slow down for Malaysia to catch up.

Farish Noor, NST

THAT those in the corridors of power now recognise the urgent need to restore the standing and prestige of our national institutions of higher learning is a timely development indeed and even more urgent is the need to take some pragmatic and practical steps in the right direction.

Malaysia, with an emerging youth sector that will soon be demanding access to higher education as a means of attaining upward social mobility, cannot take higher education for granted, and in time to come, may also realise that an improved higher education system would also add to the country's pull factor if and when Malaysia is seen as a destination for foreign scholars as well.
However, as has been noted by myself and many other academicians, the major stumbling block Malaysia faces at the moment is the lack of access to the global academic arena and the relatively low profile that our institutions have in relation to better-known universities and colleges in the developed Western world.
That it has come to this is a sad reflection of how our standing has fallen of late, though it was not always the case: Universiti Malaya was once regarded as among the best universities in Asia, and among its alumni are many academics, technocrats, businessmen and leaders of other countries in Asia today.
It has been argued by some that one factor that may have contributed to our relative decline was and is the phenomena of linguistic nationalism that ultimately led to the shift to Bahasa Malaysia, perhaps at the cost of English.
Though this shift did not necessarily erode the standard of teaching and knowledge production in our institutions of knowledge, it did mean that fewer and fewer academics and students outside Malaysia were able to access, and appreciate, whatever developments and discoveries were being made in our universities.
The pressing question at the moment is this: how can we raise the profile of Malaysia's universities in as quick a period as possible, without compromising standards of teaching, knowledge production and academic integrity?
There are no simple answers to the question here, for the matter at hand extends beyond mere epistemic concerns and spill over into the domain of the political as well.
Yet political decisions can be made if there is enough political will and mettle to address the realities of the day. The linguistic-nationalists among us may balk at the idea that English is the dominant language in global academic circles at the moment, but that is the reality one has to swallow.
If they are dismayed by the sad realities of the age we live in, they might find comfort among French, German, Japanese and other academics who likewise have come to accept the fact that the world does not speak those languages.
Pragmatism has to be the order of the day here, and I have witnessed first-hand how practical steps can be taken to resolve the question of how to raise the profile of a country's education sector.
During my last years as an academic in Germany, I noted that even Germany's hallowed halls of learning have come to accept the necessity of making room for English: Berlin's Graduate School project was aimed at luring non-German students to pursue their higher studies in the country and it was a school where the mode of instruction was in English.
Prior to that, the biggest problem faced by foreign students in Germany (where education costs are surprisingly reasonable, even relatively cheap by comparison) was the need to take a two or three-year course in academic German.
Then we have the Indonesian model next door to consider as well. Indonesia happens to have a large, lively and, I would argue, exceptionally well-appointed higher education sector.
Its universities are among the most diverse and progressive I have ever taught and researched in, but again the major drawback is that almost all of the courses offered are in Bahasa Indonesia -- which is a negative push factor if you happen to be a prospective student from India, China or elsewhere.
Of late, however, efforts have been made to improve the standard of English in universities. The Indonesian government has earmarked a number of university journals -- ranked as the best in the country -- for special consideration and has made it necessary for them to publish in English. (I know this to be true as I happen to sit on one of the editorial boards.)
Compelling Indonesian scholars to write and publish in English also means that the journals would have editorial boards made up of foreign academics, raising the standard of peer review and thus raising its standing among other journals as well.
Thus, after decades of linguistic nationalism, Indonesia's universities are now slowly but surely making their entry into the arena of international academia, which is highly competitive.
This was another example of how simple decisions may have long-lasting and even permanent consequences, for the better.
Malaysia's case is, of course, particular to itself, but the ever-competitive nature of higher education today means that whatever reforms that need to be made have to be made soon and with a degree of political will and conviction.
Higher education serves many other purposes than simply the acquisition of knowledge and skills, for it also secures the mobility and competitiveness of nations. If even powerful economies like Germany can and have adapted to the realities on the ground, surely Malaysia must rise to the challenge, too.
Universiti Malaya was once regarded as among the best in Asia and its alumni include many academics, technocrats, businessmen and leaders of other countries in Asia today.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was due to debate the proposed changes in parliament, justifying them as necessary to battle a rise in violent crime, as the government tries to push through the controversial bills this week.
The proposed amendments appear to mark a reversal of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's steps in recent years to repeal draconian security laws, such as the Internal Security Act (ISA), that were sometimes used to jail government critics and political rivals.
They come weeks ahead of a ruling party assembly where Najib faces pressure to make concessions to hardliners, following a weak election result in May that cut the ruling coalition's majority, undermining the prime minister's moderate agenda.
"After the election they are showing their real colours," said Nalini Elumalai, executive director of human rights group Suaram, adding, "It's not because they want to curb crime. They want to stop the civil society movements, that's the real motive."
The tougher laws come as Umno struggles to retain its traditional grip in the face of growing demand for more freedoms.
Najib attempted to rebrand Umno after a dismal election showing in 2008, liberalising security laws and pledging to phase out privileges for the Malays.
But he is widely seen as having been pegged back by Umno traditionalists, particularly after May's election, in which the minority Chinese and most urban voters rejected the ruling coalition.
"Wide open to abuse"
The changes to the 1959 Prevention of Crime Act provide for a board made up of three members and headed by a judge to issue detention orders for up to two years that can later be renewed.
The suspect has no right to legal representation, according to a copy of the Bill seen by Reuters, and lawyers said there would be limited scope to appeal against decisions.
In addition, the government is proposing amendments to the country's penal code, mandating prison terms of five to 15 years for promoting a false national flag and up to three years for "vandalism", which includes the display of banners or placards without proper permission.
Judges' powers of discretion in sentencing are curtailed in favour of minimum mandatory sentences.
The new laws could be so broadly interpreted that they were "wide open to abuse", said Andrew Khoo (pic, left), co-chairman of the Malaysian Bar Council's Human Rights Committee. The Bar has said the changes are "repugnant to the rule of law".
Khoo told Reuters, "I think the average citizen, rather than feeling safer as a result of these amendments, could actually feel much less safe."
Najib has denied the amendments mark a return to the days of the ISA, saying the increased powers were squarely aimed at tackling crime and would not be abused.
"If the police were to arrest anyone, they have to convince the judge that the particular individual should be detained," Najib was quoted as saying by state-run Bernama news agency as he ended a week-long visit to the United States.
"And we will make sure that no one will be victimised."
Ahead of the May election, government officials had denied crime had risen, despite public concern over a perceived increase in robberies and murders. It has since said that violent crime has spiked, although overall crime rates are down.
"It's become a law-and-order regime that I can see very easily sliding over into cases of going after people who are politically active," said Phil Robertson, deputy Asia director at Human Rights Watch in Bangkok.
"The liberal honeymoon period of Najib is over and now he's basically thrown in with the conservatives." - Reuters,

Bumiputera economy agenda for good of all, Muhyiddin tells Sabahans

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) today dispelled the negative notion among certain groups who claimed that the Bumiputera Economic Empowerment Agenda, unveiled by the Prime Minister on September 14, is discriminatory.
Defending the implementation of the government initiative, he said it was not a policy that would harm growth but instead was a policy that could bolster the country's economy, hence creating social justice in this country.
"The move we took to empower Bumiputeras' economy should not be seen by any group in a negative perception as though the agenda is a discriminatory policy.
"Actually, the agenda is not discriminatory. Even in our country's development agenda, people from all strata of society benefited.
"During the New Economic Policy era, Bumiputeras' participation in the economic sector increased and until today their participation has increased to 23%, but the non-Bumiputera community has progressed far ahead, they earn higher income and are engaged in all economic activities," he said when speaking at the Sabah Bumiputera Economic Empowerment event.
Listing out the government's initiative to empower Bumiputeras' economic status, Muhyiddin said various programmes to strengthen Bumiputeras' socio-economic development agenda have been introduced including channelling RM920.6 million allocation through Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) to 60,766 people to help the hardcore poor in Sabah to start new businesses at the micro level.
"AIM will continue to create business opportunities to petty traders in Sabah through the RM300 million new fund announced by the government," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said the government has created opportunities for wider access to any business funds for Bumiputera entrepreneurs.
Among the funds whose allocations have been increased are for programmes under TEKUN, AIM and MARA, he added. Muhyiddin said entrepreneurs in Sabah also have the chance to increase their participation in entrepreneurial programmes such as the Vendor Development Programme implemented by government-linked companies.
He said the programmes would incorporate a bank loan repayment period that would ensure the projects proceeded smoothly.
Bumiputera entrepreneurs' companies in Sabah particularly engaged in the manufacturing and industrial sectors have the potential and opportunity to join the Bumiputera Companies' Consortium led by government-linked companies in efforts to strengthen the supply value chain.
Muhyiddin said the Bumiputera Entrepreneurs' Start-Up Scheme, set up to help Bumiputera companies to start business operations, would be expanded to Sabah.
He also said a RM500,000 grant has been allocated to encourage creativity and innovation among Bumiputera entrepreneurs who have the potential in strategic fields.
"The government will also strengthen the Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (in the Prime Minister's Department) under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in order to create a Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Community, he added.- Bernama

Just answer questions on hotel investments, no need for arrogance, DAP tells Felda chief

The DAP has advised Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad not to be “arrogant and cocky” in responding to its queries about the agency’s controversial property transactions, including the purchase of service apartments in London.
Secretary-general Lim Guan Eng (pic) said Isa should remember that what Felda did with settlers' money is of concern to everyone.
"This is not my business nor your's (Isa) but the Felda settlers," Lim told reporters during a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
Isa had over the weekend, in a retort to Lim’s queries on the property transactions in the country and London, said the Penang chief minister should “mind his own business”.
Lim had questioned why Felda was owning and operating eight hotels across Perak, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and London, as the businesses were not connected to the authority's core business, which is plantation.
"RM700 million is not a small amount of money and I would like to remind Isa that making profit out of the investments does not equate to Felda being a success.
"Why invest in something which you have no expertise in? How is this going to benefit Felda and the  million-plus Felda settlers?," Lim questioned, saying Mohd Isa has failed to answer this question.
"Don't just keep saying this is a profitable venture as by being profitable, it does not guarantee success. This is the settlers' money," Lim added.
The Bagan MP also doubted Felda could recover the RM700 million invested in the properties.
Felda's reported investment activities include RM86 million in the Grand Borneo Hotel in Sabah, RM110 million to acquire a 25% stake in Iris Corp (a public-listed company which is involved in the production of smartcards and setting up agricultural villages) and almost RM500 million to purchase the Grand Plaza Service Apartments in London.
Defending the investments, Mohd Isa told reporters yesterday that other government-linked companies had also invested in overseas properties.
The Star reported Mohd Isa as saying that the investments were made in the best interest of Felda and its members and that the investments can be beneficial.

Consulting Bar a courtesy, not a must, says chief judge on appointment of judges

The Bar Council's feedback is not required for the elevation of judges to the Federal Court or the Court of Appeal, Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria (pic) said today.
"There is no provision under the Judicial Appointments Commission Act which requires consultation with the Bar Council prior to the appointment of judges," he said.
“We will consult them when it is necessary but there was no need this time around.
"When the Bar was consulted over the appointment of judges, it was a matter of courtesy and not a formal discussion,” he said.
This morning, seven judges were elevated in a ceremony at the Palace of Justice - three to the Federal Court and four to the Court of Appeal.
Datuk Seri Mohamed Apandi Ali, Datuk Seri Abu Samah Nordin and Datuk Ramly Ali were elevated to the apex court.
High Court judges Datuk Seri Zakaria Sam, Datuk Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim, Datuk Umi Kalthum Abdul Majib and Datuk Varghese George Varughese were sworn into the Court of Appeal.
The Malaysian Insider had reported that the appointments came against a backdrop of unhappiness because the Bar was not consulted.

The Bar expressed reservations as it was unsure whether the decisions had been made based on merit or seniority.
The Bar, which covers all lawyers in West Malaysia, feels it should have been consulted as it is an important stakeholder in the administration of justice in Malaysia.
In previous years, the chief justice had made it a point to do so before appointing federal and appellate court judges.
Former Bar president Lim Chee Wee, who held the post from 2011 to 2013, said the then chief justice had sought the council's feedback.
