Najib's legacy: The man who DESTROYED Umno-BN

Najib's legacy: The man who DESTROYED Umno-BN
It made little sense when they went on a late-night raid to arrest YB Nik Nazmi. Neither does it seems logical for them to remand him and other social activists. However, the series of events came to a nonsensical state and complete meltdown when Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar, daughter of a politically-persecuted man, mother of two children, and most importantly, a honest Malaysian was arrested for sedition because of a speech she delivered in the Parliament. Rest assured, it will continually makes no sense as long as Najib and Umno-Barisan Nasional is the government of the day.
Never mind that international human rights group or organizations are condemning the series of arrests towards Nurul Izzah and others. Prime Minister Najib will definitely unleash his absolute silence as long as he could cling on to the very wealth of Putrajaya. He would rather risk the criticism of international groups than having to suffer the wrath of his wife for not traveling around the world, and sweeping all the latest and branded jewelleries.
Welcome to Malaysia, folks!
Nik Nazmi
Najib has indeed outdone his most feared adversary, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, in terms of limiting freedom of expression. By arresting a parliamentarian because of what he or she spoke of in the Parliament, he has deserted the image of a moderate leader that he sought to project all this years in the international scene. He has also sunk to the lowest by desecrate the sanctity of the parliament, eroding the principle of parliamentary immunity, and setting a dangerous precedent to the whole legislative system of Malaysia.
Furthermore, the Inspect-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and his entourage has also went amok and descended into nothing but Najib’s loyal servants, dutifully doing the bidding of their political master. The time for investigating a crime is actually wasted on scrutinizing which opposition politicians or social activist are making a seditious remark in light of the recent political persecution of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Instead of protecting and ensuring the safety of every Malaysian, they are quasi-scaremongers now by implanting fear into Malaysians’ minds and arresting every dissident for as much as raising up their voice. To say the least, they are a modern day Oprichnick which serves nothing but to perpetuate the tyrannical rule of our Prime Minister.
This series of political turmoil also comes at a time when Malaysia is facing its most economically fragile state since 1998. The worst performing currency in Southaast Asia was exacerbated by the falling oil price which is one of biggest source of government revenue. Additionally, the fiscal performance of Malaysia has never improved since Najib is the Finance Minister. Yet, when the country is very much economically being challenged, Najib and Umno-Barisan Nasional is still entertaining the thought of a bailout with the public’s money on the what-is-already-a-farce 1 Malaysia Development Berhad(1MDB).
Having said that, Najib made a bold promise few weeks ago saying as long as there are moons and stars, he will continue his fight for the Malays. The only problem with that statement is that the modern definition of a Malay may well encompass a Chinese, chubby boy who enjoys nightclubs. Enter, Jho Low. How in the world does he still remain scot free amazes me, when the Sarawak Report has clear documentation that he has indeed swindle US$700 million from 1MDB. In fact, this are the type of investigation that IGP and his police forces should dig in as huge amount of public money is involved instead of attempting to muzzle political dissents. The Jho Low scandal is clearly an act of injustice at its cruellest manner. The rich and well-connected is enjoying themselves in Las Vegas, emptying bottles of raining crystals, while we have poverty-stricken Kelatanese who are still homeless because of the recent flood. For that reason, I wanted to take this opportunity to implore all members of Umno-Barisan Nasional, who might still possess a little bit of morality inside of them, to stand accountable and do the right thing, not just for the poor and helpless Malays, but for all Malaysians who are utterly disgusted by the 1MDB wrongdoing.
Nurul Izzah
The act of buying another jet when the impending goods and service tax (GST) is just a few months away is also a big slap towards the public’s face. The Prime Minster–cum–Finance Minister could have tighten his belts to gain some political mileage and project an image of The Prime Minister is indeed with the public, but obviously he think money is better spent by purchasing another jet while letting the public suffered under a GST led inflationary pressure of daily goods.
Lastly, while historians are still struggling to find a title for Najib, the public is already hugely dissatisfied with his performance, particularly with his handling of 1MDB. And it might just be true that the longer he stays on, the higher the chances he will be remembered as the Bapa (father) who has single-handedly causes the downfall of Umno-Barisan Nasional. Therefore, it is better for Najib to salvage any reputation he has left and kindly step down as Prime Minister than dragging down this lovely country with him just so he could rule over it a bit longer. - TMI

    Yes indeed.

Soon Jibby will do unto himself the honours...

    Just to share this...

"...A botched coup by mercenaries last year against the dictator of oil-rich Equatorial Guinea ensnared Sir Mark Thatcher, son of Britain’s former prime minister, whose business dealings have made him controversial before. Though he denies involvement, he was arrested by the South African government, and faces charges of having helped finance the plot. Reporting from Cape Town, the author talks to the 51-year-old Thatcher and other sources about the investigation, his relationship with his powerful mother, and his dangerous connections.

It wasn’t hard to spot Sir Mark Thatcher in the lobby of the Mount Nelson, an exclusive but now somewhat faded hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, in early October. At 51, with gray hair and piercing blue eyes, he looks more than ever like his mother, the former British prime minister Lady Margaret Thatcher..."

Wife of Tunisian president fled riot-torn country with 1.5 TONNES of gold (that should help feed the son-in-law's pet tiger) - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1347938/Tunisian-presidents-wife-Leila-Trabelsi-fled-riots-35m-gold-bars.html#ixzz3UexrrBPq

"...There's a story in the Qur'an – a sort of parable – about the ancient Marib dam in Yemen and how a mouse brought it down by dislodging a single stone, and in the process destroyed a civilisation. The trigger for the Tunisian riots was something equally small. Twenty-six-year-old Mohamed Bouazizi had a university degree but no work. To help out his family he took to selling fruit and vegetables in the street without a licence. When the authorities stopped him and confiscated his produce, he set himself on fire.

Bouazizi's action was extreme, but his plight is something many Tunisians can relate to. Contrast that with the corruption and the notoriously extravagant lifestyle of the president's family, and the anger becomes even more understandable. As the American ambassador put it last year, in a cable recently published by Wikileaks:
"Corruption in the inner circle is growing. Even average Tunisians are now keenly aware of it, and the chorus of complaints is rising. Tunisians intensely dislike, even hate, first lady Leila Trabelsi and her family. In private, regime opponents mock her; even those close to the government express dismay at her reported behaviour. Meanwhile, anger is growing at Tunisia's high unemployment and regional inequities. As a consequence, the risks to the regime's long-term stability are increasing."

Besides the shopaholic Leila Trabelsi, there's the president's son-in-law and possible successor, Mohamed Sakhr El-Matri (or Materi), whose pet tiger consumes four chickens a day. The American ambassador had dinner at his house in Hammamet last year (again, reported in a Wikileaks document): ..."

    In Politics...Nobody is Invincible..."

    You be the judge.

    Cheers.
