Who is Aidana Baizieva? Mystery victim in JJ copter crash
KUALA LUMPUR - As the bodies of those who perished in the Dauphin 2 helicopter that crashed yesterday are being claimed by their family members, one victim’s identity has yet to be completely ascertained.
The crash that took place yesterday at 4.55pm along Jalan Sungai Lalang in Kampung Pasir Baru, Semenyih, on Saturday, claimed the lives of Rompin Member of Parliament Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, the Prime Minister’s senior private secretary Datuk Azlin Alias, SP Baiduri Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Tan Huat Seang, Jamaluddin’s bodyguard Corporal Razkan Seran, pilot Captain Clifford William and one Aidana Baizieva.
Jamaluddin will be laid to rest at the Warrior’s Mausoleum in Masjid Negara today while Azlin was buried at the Batu 13, Saujana Impian Muslim cemetery this afternoon.
As for Razkan, his body was flown to Sabah where he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Tuaran.
The remains of Tan were claimed by his family members at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) today and would be brought to Kedah.
Fournier’s remains will be claimed by his parents when they arrive from the United States tomorrow.
The pilot was originally from Minnesota, but had been working in Malaysia for the past 20 years.
At press time, it was learned that no one had yet to come forward to claim the body of Aidana, who was identified in the manifest released by the Transport Ministry last night as the operations assistant.
A spokesperson from HKL today said that this last remaining victim from the crash had yet to be claimed by relatives as her identity had yet to be ascertained.
“We are trying to get the authorities to sort out the documentation of the victims,” a spokesperson, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added.
While Fournier was active on the social networking site Facebook, with his last posting being just hours before the crash took place, checks on the site under the name Aidana Baizieva yielded nothing.
The media yesterday had mistakenly identified a woman in a photo with Fournier as Aidana. However, the woman has since come forward to deny this.
The photo, which depicted Fournier in a helicopter sitting next to a woman, had gone viral, with several media identifying the woman as Aidana.
In a NST (New Straits Times) Online report, the woman in the photo, Dzuriasikim Dzulkefli, had come forward to deny that she was Aidana.
“I was really shocked that some people had irresponsibly ‘declared’ me dead just because the photograph showed pilot Clifford William Fournier and I in a helicopter,” Dzuriasikim was quoted as saying by NST Online. - Therakayatpost
