An army commando is the latest to be charged with having material associated with Isis. – Reuters file pic, October 6, 2015.An army commando was charged in the Magistrate's Court in Malacca today with having in his possession printed material associated with the Islamic State (Isis) militant group.
No plea was recorded from Muhammad Adibzakir Zahri, 28, of the Commando 21 Regiment Camp in Sungai Udang for the offence allegedly committed at the Sungai Udang police station, Malacca, at 8.50am on August 19 this year.
Adibzakir of Alor Setar, Kedah, nodded to indicate he understood the charge after it was read out to him before Magistrate Mohd Asri Abd Rahman Sidik.
DPP Norshazwani Ishak appeared for the prosecution. Adibzakir was not represented. – Bernama
