Both men are from the DAP, with Loke being the Seremban MP and Ng, the Temiang assemblyman.
When contacted, Loke confirmed his arrest.
It was understood that Loke and the villagers were taken to the Seremban 2 police headquarters for further questioning.
In his Facebook update, Loke also confirmed that Ng was also picked up by the police.
Earlier, he had uploaded a photograph of the villagers sitting by the road at the village with a caption that read: "Penduduk-penduduk Kampung Ulu Temiang yang ditindas oleh pemilik tanah, One Visa Sdn Bhd!" (The residents of Kampung Ulu Temiang oppressed by landowner, One Visa Sdn Bhd!)
Seremban police said that the politicians and the villagers were arrested for obstructing the demolition work at Kg Ulu Temiang this morning and will be detained for 24 hours.
"They have been arrested under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstruction," said a police spokesman.
As at 11.15am, heavy police presence were noticed at the two roadblocks set up since early this morning on the stretch leading to the village.
Only villagers and workers involved in the demolition works were allowed entry.
