Anthony Loke picked up by cops over 'topple' Najib speech

A team of policemen from Bukit Aman federal police headquarters has detained DAP Seremban MP Anthony Loke from a hotel in Kuala Lumpur just now.

Loke told Malaysiakini that according to the the police, he is being investigated under the Sedition Act with regard to his speech made at the Pakatan Harapan Convention last Saturday, which called for the removal of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to restore the country's sovereignty.

However he said that he is unaware which part of the speech has been found to be problematic.

Loke is currently held at Bukit Aman for questioning. He is accompanied by lawyer and MP for Bukit Gelugor Ramkarpal Singh.
