PKR MP questions Jamal’s ‘extraordinary’ wealth

She also demanded answers for Jamal’s “fast-tracked” approval to board a commercial helicopter which he used solely to show journalists the “luxury mansion” of PKR’s Ampang Youth chief Adam Rosly.
According to Zuraida, the little trip around Adam’s bungalow was approved in less than 24 hours and she claimed that the authorities may have had a hand in this.
“What is the state of his finances, for him to have the ability to go on a helicopter ride? We can question who the funder was.
“And what about the procedure, the time period (to request for a helicopter) and the purpose of the trip? It was used for a non-beneficial purpose,” she told a press conference at the Parliament lobby here.
Zuraida said she had posed all these questions to Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai in the Dewan Rakyat this afternoon. However, no answer was provided.
“I am very disappointed with the minister. What I asked were basic questions regarding the procedures for helicopter usage. Even that he couldn’t answer.
“I asked how he (Jamal) got the fast-tracked approval, and unfortunately the minister said he had no information about it.”
Zuraida was also let down by the Dewan Rakyat Speaker’s decision to stop her from asking additional questions on the matter.
“The Speaker disappointed me by depriving me of the right to ask basic questions. He had helped the minister avoid them.”
She then voiced her curiosity over Jamal’s “extraordinary” wealth that had allowed him to run an anti-Bersih campaign for the past one month.
“Only God knows if he has received funds through an illegal manner. He drives a red Vellfire, has his own personal bodyguards, and today he rode on a helicopter.”
