BN can win in Sarawak again in the next general election if the successor to the state's late Chief Minister Adenan Satem continues to follow his leadership style, said Umno minister Mohamed Nazri Aziz.
"Of course (we can win again) if he (Adenan's successor) continues to follow his style, which we all know that all Sarawakians love his style," Nazri, who is the Tourism and Culture minister, said in a press conference after officiating the Cafe Malaysia exhibition in Kuala Lumpur today.
Adenan passed away yesterday from a heart attack.
The popular leader had led BN to a sweeping victory in the Sarawak state election last April, winning 72 state seats.
Leading BN for the first time in a state election, Adenan had asked voters to give him five more years to realise his vision for the state.
Nazri said BN's win in the last Sarawak election was "single-handedly" because of Adenan.
He also conveyed his condolences to Adenan's family, adding that the country will miss the iconic Malaysian leader.
