'Even a 14-year old knows the constitution better than Guan Eng'

The Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng should be ashamed that even a 14-year-old is more well-versed in the Federal Constitution than him, said the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
The BN Backbencher’s Club’s (BNBBC) website quoted the deputy minister praising the teenager Ahmad Ali Abdul Karim, who reportedly lodged a police report against Lim in November last year.
“Guan Eng should be ashamed when a 14-year old teenager has a better understanding of the country’s constitution.
“I would like to congratulate Ahmad Ali,” he was quoted as saying.
Earlier today, Utusan Malaysia and Astro Awani reported that Ahmad Ali has received a courtesy visit from a delegation led by Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali for lodging the police report.
Insulting Syariah courts
A copy of the police report lodged on Nov 24, 2016 at the Ampang Jaya police station was uploaded to Ahmad Ali’s blog two days later.
In his blog post explaining his police report, Ahmad Ali took issue with a speech that Lim made on the day before the police report was lodged.
In the speech, Lim said his party DAP is against "hudud-like" laws such as PAS president’s private member’s bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) because it is unconstitutional.
Ahmad Ali claimed that Lim had committed offences under the Sedition Act 1948, among others by insulting the Syariah courts, and by falsely accusing Umno and PAS of attempting to "bypass the Federal Constitution".
He also argued that the proposed amendment had nothing to do with hudud, and challenging it would go against the then Yang Dipertuan Agong Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah’s speech in parliament on March 7, 2016, where His Majesty urged for steps to strengthen the Syariah Courts to be expedited.- Mkini
