Najib: Formal negotiations with N Korea when time comes

Formal negotiations with North Korea will be held "when the time comes", said Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
"In the meantime, we find that (Malaysians) in North Korea are in a situation where they are safety is ensured and there is nothing to worry about.
"That is all for now, if there is anything else we will inform you," Najib added, when met at the Parliament lobby today.
He did not entertain further questions on whether there were informal negotiations or whether Malaysia would consider a citizen swap.

Last week, North Korea announced it would not allow Malaysians to exit the country, leaving nine stranded.
This follows the expulsion of North Korea's ambassador to Malaysia, over critical comments against Putrajaya's handling of the murder of Kim Jong-nam - the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz has welcomed the idea of exchanging the Malaysians in North Korea, for North Korean suspects in the Jong-nam murder case.- Mkini
