Headmistress gets transferred for harsh treatment of teacher

Headmistress is transferred to another school after she prohibits one of her teachers from entering the premises due to being habitually late for work.

PETALING JAYA: The harsh action taken by a headmistress of a Chinese primary school against one of the teachers, has resulted in her being transferred to another school instead.

According to The Star Online, which quoted a news report in China Press, sources said the transfer of the headmistress to another school in Kuala Lumpur was a “solution” and not a punishment for her action of prohibiting a teacher from entering the school premises because she was late.

Earlier, the daily reported that the teacher at the centre of the controversy was habitually late for work after being transferred from the afternoon session to the morning session in 2014.

It is believed that the headmistress and two disciplinary teachers then made the decision to prohibit the teacher from entering the school premises.

However when internet users got wind of the issue, many voiced their concerns that the school authorities had reacted too harshly to the teacher by prohibiting her entry into the school.

While the headmistress has been transferred, it was reported that the teacher in question, would remain in her current school. -FMT
