NOH OMAR HALLUCINATES, SEES ‘CLEAN SWEEP’ OF ALL 4 SEATS IN SELAYANG DESPITE THRASHING IN GE12 & GE13

BARISAN Nasional is looking to repeat history of a clean sweep by winning all four seats in Selayang in the next general election.
Selangor Barisan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar said they had won the one parliamentary seat and three state seats in the Selayang constituency in 2004.
“If we could win all then, it is not impossible to win them again this time because in politics, nothing is impossible,” he said during a press conference after launching the Selayang Parliamentary Youth Machinery for BN with MCA, Umno and MIC and a mini convention at Selayang MCA division building in Taman Jati, Rawang.
Noh Omar, who is also Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister, said with the spirit shown by the members who attended the event, the rise of Barisan Nasional youths had started.
He said Selangor BN’s strategy would be following the “2S and 2K” method.
“We will emphasise on solidarity, strategy, coordination and communication to take Selangor.
“Our principle is to rely on our own strength and not depend on our opponent’s weaknesses,” he said.
He added that all component parties in Selangor BN must wear the Barisan Nasional shirt.
“The flags and programmes must use only one symbol, which is Barisan Nasional’s.
“This is because when contesting, it will be under the Barisan Nasional umbrella and not the respective political parties,” he said.
Noh Omar also took a swipe at Selangor government with the current political fracas between Pakatan Harapan and PAS.
It was reported that the Syura Council, the highest decision-making body in PAS, decided on Thursday to terminate the political cooperation with PKR.
The decision jeopardises the position of the three PAS state exco members – Datuk Iskandar Samad, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Zaidy Abdul Talib – but Selangor PAS commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi said yesterday they would remain in the state government until the dissolution of the state assembly.
Noh Omar said the state government was filled with many “dramas” including this latest issue.
“And if there is strong pressure from other parties, the three exco men will jump party,” he said.
It was reported yesterday that Selangor Umno slammed the state PAS as being a “dishonourable opportunist” for remaining in the state government even after terminating its political cooperation with PKR which heads the administration.
Noh Omar had said Selangor PAS claimed that it wanted to fulfil the mandate of the people given in the last general election.
“But the mandate of the people was based on the DAP-PKR-PAS manifesto that had former Selangor mentri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim at the helm,” he pointed out.
