Bukit Aman shake-up after Aidilfitri, says IGP

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will make a major overhaul of the top posts in all divisions of Bukit Aman Federal Police Headquarters after Aidilfitri (expected on June 25).
Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said at least 20 members of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) had been transferred out.
"We have already made some changes of the lower level of NCID leaving just a few more.

"I would like to state that PDRM will make a major overhaul at the top level, probably after Aidilfitri," he told reporters after a PDRM 'Singgah Sahur' programme with the IGP, here today.
Khalid stressed that transfers in the PDRM are a normal thing and that 'unusual transfers' are rare.
On the case of Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) student Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain, he said: "We are still investigating and when completed, we will present the case to the attorney general."

Sea cadet officer Zulfarhan Osman, 21, a died at Serdang Hospital on June 1. His body had bruises and burn marks, believed due to be the result of physical abuse.
Following the incident, the police had remanded 36 UPNM students and four Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) students aged between 20 to 21 years.
The four Uniten students were later released on police bail. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
