Jho Low, man up and stop firing blanks in the dark

YOURSAY | 'If there’s no misappropriation, then go to S’pore to defend yourself there.'
Commentable: Malaysian businessman Jho Low has purportedly dismissed Singapore's allegations against him as politically motivated after prosecutors from the city-state accused him of victimising Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1MDB.
A spokesperson for Low was quoted in a news report as claiming that attempts to link him to those who pleaded guilty in Singapore's 1MDB-related court cases were “based on unfounded assumptions”.
Low, why are you crying foul from afar? Show yourself, or better still, turn yourself in to the Singaporean authorities.
Or go to the United States, and tell the Department of Justice (DOJ) off. Tell all of them that they got it wrong. Tell them to their face that no wrongdoing has been proven in any jurisdiction relating to the alleged misappropriation of 1MDB funds.
Prove to them that whatever money you spent were legitimate funds. Let them see the source of your funds.
It's hard to believe that Singapore got it wrong. Four people have already been convicted by the Singaporean courts over the 1MDB scandal. Do you think it is so easy to convict so many people without concrete evidence?
The Singapore prosecutors are absolutely right - the main victim is 1MDB. But by default, the biggest losers are the Malaysian rakyat. Shame on each and every person in power who turned their back on this "victim".
Versey: Jho Low, if you were truly innocent and think that Singapore's allegations against you were politically motivated in linking you to those who have pleaded guilty in Singapore's 1MDB-related court cases, and that they had been "based on unfounded assumption", why don’t you pursue a legal case against the Singapore authorities?
All Malaysians will be happy to see you appear in Singapore's courts with relevant proof to clear not only your name but also all those 1MDB-related personnel, including Malaysia's attorney-general (AG) as well as the ministers who have been unrelentingly defending the 1MDB case, including Mr and Mrs Malaysian Official 1 (MO1).
Mushiro: This shameless man blames the Singapore courts for being politically motivated, and he still claims his US$250 million yacht was bought with his family's own money.
Jho Low should state clearly which of his funds was 'hard earned' if any, against allegations his money came from 1MDB.
In any case, the DOJ will slowly but surely prove their case, and forfeit all the assets they contend had been stolen and laundered.
Slumdog: Jho Low, are you saying that the justice system in Singapore got it all wrong about your involvement in 1MDB? Have all those found guilty and who are spending time in prison, lying about you?
Since when have you been involved in politics? Is it because you have close links to Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor, that you think allegations against you are “politically motivated”?
And have you lost your voice, why do you appoint a spokesperson to speak on your behalf? Why don’t you come out of hiding, call a press conference and produce evidence to clear your name?
Until you do that, Malaysians will forever condemn you for allegedly stealing money from the rakyat and enjoying a lavish lifestyle that many can’t even imagine.
Anonymous 2436471476414726: What political motivation do the Singapore authorities have against you when you are not even a politician? Confront the authorities in Singapore, US and Switzerland and refute their allegations with proof.
If no funds are missing from 1MDB, then what monies were laundered by your good friend, ex-BSI banker Yeo Jiawei?
1MDB has yet to release the audited financial reports for 2014, 2015 and 2016, therefore they cannot deny any funds are missing. Malaysian authorities are engaging in a major cover-up to protect your Malaysian friend known as MO1.
This same friend of yours had instructed the auditor-general to do an audit on 1MDB, and then asked the rakyat to wait for its report. However, when the report was produced with allegedly incriminating findings, he quickly had it classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA).
That already shows his guilt.
Annonymous: Actor Leonardo DiCaprio willingly returned his Oscar (the one won by Marlon Brando), model Miranda Kerr willingly surrendered the illicit million-dollar diamond rings you had given her, and four Singapore bankers are convicted and sentenced to jail.
And now a once innocent (before meeting you) family man, a banker in the centre of 1MDB's illicit transactions in Singapore has pleaded guilty, has willingly returned his ill-gotten millions and has willingly accepted to serve 54 months in jail.
But Jho Low can only come out with the same copycat quotes (like those of the AG, MO1) that it's "politically motivated" and there is no wrongdoing in 1MDB?
Why, with your innocence and your billions and with powerful friends, surely you can easily sue Yeo and clear your name as well as your father's name, right?
Res Ipsa: Please stop firing blanks in the dark, Jho Low. Yeo has repented for his past sins and will be singing like a canary soon. Your time will come when you too would have no other option but to sing like one to save your neck.
Unless, of course, you choose to bite the bullet on behalf of your master. Whichever option you take, you will definitely have to do time.
Astounded: “Mr Low is confident that any impartial party presented with the complete facts will see that the allegations are flawed, biased and create an inaccurate picture," said the spokesman.
The big problem is, impartial parties such as the special task force commissioned by the PM, the Public Accounts Committee and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were not allowed to complete their work.
Members were transferred, fired or removed. Furthermore, the auditor-general's report was classified under the OSA. So, there you go.
The actions taken by PM Najib Razak suggest he is guilty, and that 1MDB has been cheated and so has the whole nation. And this is not to mention the action taken by the US DOJ showing the complete money trail.
Don't try to bluff anymore, Low. Nobody believes you. We are all waiting with bated breath for justice to take its course.
Plain & Simple: Singapore is one of the top 10 countries with the least corruption in the world, according to the Transparency International 2016 annual report. Malaysia ranks 55th in the same report.
Now, the Singapore government says 1MDB funds were misappropriated, whereas the Malaysian government says there were no misappropriations.

These are two conflicting statements. You can choose whose statement to believe.- Mkini
