Lie after lie after lie from Gobind Singh

The current CEC has no business communicating with or writing to the RoS, until and unless it issues a formal statement of sorts, in writing, declaring to its members and the RoS that the meeting would be conducted by a committee appointed by the party prior to the December 2012 election
THE THIRD FORCE
Gobind Singh Deo is on a mission.
Despite two attempts by The Third Force (TTF) to remind him that the DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) lacks jurisdiction to meet the Registrar of Societies (RoS), he remains stubborn and seems bent on misleading the people.
In an article posted on Saturday, the 8th of July 2017 (READ HERE), TTF stated that the CEC, declared illegal by the RoS, “contradicted all manner of logic when it said that it was prepared to meet the RoS as soon as it received a letter from the statutory body regarding its status.”
“The contradiction arose from the fact that the RoS would never be able to entertain a request for a meeting, considering that the CEC was declared illegal by the statutory body, and any meeting between the RoS and the CEC could and would be construed as a tacit approval by the RoS of the CEC’s legality,” it added.
Gobind is well aware of this.
In spite of all he does, he knows that the RoS will never be able to approve the party’s 2012 election and 2013 re-election of its CEC and would never be able to convene a meeting with the current CEC.
In an article posted last Wednesday, the 12th of July 2017 (READ HERE), the TTF helped Gobind recall events as they had unfolded from the 4th of December 2012, 19 days after the DAP conducted its 16th National Congress and CEC election.
An excerpt from the article reads as follows:
“On that day, the party’s returning officer, Pooi Weng Keong, shocked the entire nation when he announced a “technical glitch in the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet” that the party used to tabulate the election results (READ HERE).
“On the 9th of January 2013, a group of disgruntled party members took the matter up with the RoS, demanding that the party leadership be compelled to conduct a fresh election to restore public confidence in the DAP.
“Then, on the 18th of April 2013, the RoS, which resolved not to recognize the CEC on account of the complaints, advised the party to resolve disputes that arose from claims of electoral irregularities, failing which the party could face deregistration.”
Braided through these claims were allegations that Guan Eng and his men – Liew Chin Tong and Anthony Loke – conspired to rig the 2012 poll by denying 700-odd delegates invitation letters to the party’s 16th National Congress (and CEC election) and allowed some 500 illegal delegates to cast ballots instead.
The matter has yet to be resolved, and yet, Guan Eng and Kit Siang have been embarking on smear campaigns since 2013, insisting that a conspiracy exists between the RoS and Barisan Nasional to destroy their careers.
Gobind should advise the father-and-son tag team not to exhaust the CEC’s avenue to a recourse by hurling slander in such a prejudicial manner against the RoS and the ruling coalition.
Instead, he chose to lie to the public, reiterating (as reported by The Malay Mail Online) – for the third time – that the DAP had yet to receive an official notice from the RoS, further implying that the RoS was at fault on the matter.
“We may now need to move ahead on the basis that the media statement issued by the ROS on Friday, 7 July 2017 is the official notification by the ROS to the DAP of his decision.
“We will write to the ROS on Monday conveying this to him,” he said.
But the fact is, Gobind failed to consider that the RoS did in fact declare the CEC illegal in an official capacity, through a statement carried by the mass media, in print.
In any event, the current CEC has no business communicating with or writing to the RoS, until and unless it issues a formal statement of sorts, in writing, declaring to its members and the RoS that the meeting would be conducted by a committee appointed by the party prior to the December 2012 election.
Until that happens, the rakyat should pay no attention to what Gobind says.
