1MALAYSIA TUTUP KEDAI : 'OPENING SOON' SEBAB SEKARANG KAMI DALAM KEADAAN 'TUTUP KEDAI'

I received the following from a reader Muhamad Taufiq Bin Baharuddin in Johor.  Taufiq has also sent some pictures of the AEON Mall in Kulai, Johor.

Assalamualaikum Tuan Syed.

Saya Taufiq, pembaca setia blog tuan.

Ini saya nak menyampaikan khabar dari selatan.

Kat Johor ni pon business dah slow walaupon ade orang Singapore shopping kat sini.

Saya sempat snap beberapa gambar kat Shopping Mall AEON Kulai. AEON Kulai ni dibuka pada tahun 2013. Walaupun usianya tak sampai 5 tahun lagi, tapi banyak kedai dah gulung tikar. Lot yang takde penyewa di tutup dengan plywood hijau. Kat directory board ditulis opening soon, tapi rasa nya memang takde penyewa.

Harap tuan dapat kongsi kan hal ini kepada pembaca.

Sekian, assalamualaikum

My comments : Salam Sdra Taufiq. Terima kasih kerana sudi membaca blog saya. Juga saya mengucapkan berbanyak terima kasih kerana sdra sanggup mengambil masa merakamkan  gambar dan berkongsi pandangan dengan saya serta pembaca lain.  Sekali lagi terima kasih.

The pictures sent by Muhamad Taufiq from Kulai are reflective of what is going on all around the country. Not just the AEON Mall in Kulai but many other businesses are shutting down.

Today I heard more feedback from a trained economist. Just like what I have been saying most recently the Year 2018 is going to be the year of THE SHUTDOWN.

The Malaysian economy is really going to close shop in 2018. In fact, it has already begun.

Talk is a well known private university has offered a VSS to 30% of its staff including its lecturers. Times are getting really bad.  2018 is going to be the year of The Shut Down.

The gomen has also cut down funding for the IPTAs.  They have been told to raise their own funds. So some IPTAs will be launching short seminars and short courses (2 days to 2 weeks, with certificates awarded) to the public. Of course you must pay for these short courses.

Some IPTAs will also be awarding "diploma" courses and 'certificate' courses soon. This is to increase student intake and earn more fees.

This means the IPTAs (which are taxpayer funded and do not have to suffer capex for their building premises, equipment and laboratories) will be competing (unfairly) with the 'private training providers' and the private colleges (IPTS).

If this happens then the private training centers and the IPTS will  soon be going out of business also.  Everyone will be going out of business.

Who wants a "Sijil Penyertaan" from Zulfazlie School of Management  when say UKM, UPM or UITM will give you the same sijil penyertaan?

By the way, you know those graduate unemployment figures which say that graduate unemployment is 12% (about three times the national unemployment rate of about 4%)?

Well that is not true. Graduate unemployment is closer to 20% now. This means that 1 in 5 graduates cannot find a job. And the bulk of these unemployed grads are Malays.

The gomen is also LYING about our consumer price index or CPI. The CPI is the measurement of inflation in the country. The gomen says inflation is below 4% per annum.  This is another lie.

The "basket of goods" they use to calculate the Malaysian CPI has about 500 items inside the basket !!  This may include LCD TVs, bathtubs,  dishwashers, airconditioners etc.  This is not exactly the type of goods you will find inside Cik Su's marketing bag.

They are using these types of tricks to fudge the numbers to show that inflation is under control in Malaysia.

Just do a CPI with the basic purchases of an ordinary housewife - fish, meat, vegetables, eggs, Maggie Mee, toothpaste, soap, detergents, batteries, shampoo, bread, rice, mee hoon, nasi lemak, roti chanai, nasi bungkus, air kelapa, milo ais, teh tarik, underwear  etc.

Then recalculate the CPI.  You will not get 3.8%. I think it is MUCH  more than that.

Akhir kalam : The gomen is dishonest. They are lying about many things. They are stealing. They dont seem to care at all for the people.

The second thing is even if the gomen cared for the people, they DO NOT KNOW the right things to do. They know jack shit about what to do for the economy or for the people.   If they come back tom power, the country will shut down.
