Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad complimented how his wife had stood by him in good and bad times.
This was after his wife Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali joined him in returning her awards to the Selangor palace.
"Planning to go on a date with Hasmah. She stood by me in tough and good times," he said on Twitter.
Mahathir, who is also Bersatu chairperson, then asked those on social media to recommend a film for them to watch together.
Earlier today, Bersatu confirmed that Mahathir and Siti Hasmah had returned their awards to the Selangor palace.Today was also the Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah's 72nd birthday in which the monarch traditionally confer awards on eminent persons.
Sharafuddin had in an interview last week criticised Mahathir as an angry man with an inferiority complex who would burn down the country.
Planning to have a date with Hasmah.
