Round Two: Najib at MACC headquarters again

The MACC is questioning Najib Abdul Razak for the second time this week to facilitate its investigations into the SRC International case.

On Tuesday, the former premier was quizzed for five hours on the issue.

Najib later told reporters that the session was a more detailed continuation of the questioning it conducted in 2015.

SRC International was a subsidiary of 1MDB until it was placed under the Finance Ministry in 2012. It was alleged that RM42 million of SRC money was transferred into Najib's bank account, who was then also finance minister, via multiple channels.

Najib has maintained that he did not abuse public funds for personal gain.

Earlier, Swiss national Xavier Justo, who in 2015 leaked documents on 1MDB, was also spotted entering the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.

The former PetroSaudi International executive is believed to be meeting with the 1MDB special task force.

Justo had arrived in Malaysia last week, but the purpose of his visit remains a mystery.

Thus far, it has been confirmed that he met Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.  Mkini
