KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Home Affairs Minister Datuk Azis Jamman was involved in a road accident while participating in a drug awareness motorcycle convoy near Tuaran, some 40km from here.
According to a statement issued by his office, Azis met with an accident at about 10am halfway through the journey from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau district on Wednesday (April 24).
The statement said that Azis, who is the Sepanggar MP, suffered minor injuries and was being treated at a hospital.
It is unclear what led to the accident, as policemen were still getting information.
Tuaran police chief Deputy Supt Dzulbaharin Ismail said they were investigating the case.
