Come clean on dedak cartel, Anwar tells PAS

BANGI: Anwar Ibrahim has urged PAS to come clean on allegations that at least five party leaders had received money from Umno and were part of what has come to be known as the “dedak cartel”.
The PKR president said the matter is now of public interest despite a gag order imposed on PAS members recently.
“It is in the public sphere and it involves funds from other parties as the allegations state,” Anwar told reporters after attending an event at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia today.
Zaharudin Muhammad, the son-in-law of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, recently revealed a list of individuals he said received money from Umno.
This was followed by Hadi denying that he had given the green light to his son-in-law to reveal the list.
Zaharudin has since been referred to the PAS disciplinary committee.
Meanwhile, Anwar also welcomed the government’s latest move requiring all MPs to declare their assets, as part of measures outlined in the National Anti-Corruption Plan.
He said all inflow and outflow of cash should also be taken into account. - FMT
