Former SSM CEO, son to be charged with corruption on Wednesday (Oct 2)

PUTRAJAYA: Former Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) chief executive officer Datuk Zahrah Abd Wahab Fenner will be brought to court on Wednesday (Oct 2) to face several corruption charges.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said that she would be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court along with her son, Abdulazeez Wan Ruslan.
"They were called to the MACC headquarters here at around 2pm to complete the investigation process," said the MACC in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 1).
However, the MACC did not give details on the cases involving the mother and son.
Over the few past months, the MACC had made several raids at the SSM headquarters in KL Sentral, in the course of its investigations into power abuse and corruption.- Star
