Footbrawl: Cops nab trio after Perak beats Kelantan

A Malaysia Premier League match in Kota Bharu between Kelantan and Perak ended on an ugly note yesterday, following a pitch invasion, brawls, and three arrests.

Various news reports said supporters from both sides provoked each other after Perak beat hosts Kelantan 2-1.

According to The Sun, plastic bottles and other items were hurled between supporters and the windscreen of a bus used by visiting fans was damaged with stones.

Sinar Harian reported that visiting fans invaded the pitch after they were attacked with projectiles.

The report also blamed the visiting fans for provoking the hosts further.

Following this, home fans gathered outside the stadium, forcing the police to prevent the visiting fans from leaving until the crowd outside dispersed. - Mkini
