Firefighting work is ongoing after around three acres of hill forest caught fire this evening, says the Selangor fire and rescue department.

PETALING JAYA: Around three acres of hill forest caught fire in Taman Seri Timah, Balakong, this evening, say Selangor firefighters.
In a statement tonight, the state fire and rescue department said the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and Seri Kembangan fire stations sent personnel to the location about 13km away after receiving an emergency call at 7.02pm.
They arrived at the location at 7.25pm.
“Personnel are currently extinguishing the blaze at the location,” said operations commander Ahmad Shahir Abd Rahman.
The cause of the fire has yet to be identified. - FMT
