Police say the 15-year-old had been reprimanded for throwing beer cans in front of a minimarket in Cheras.

Cheras police chief Rosdi Daud said an investigation found that the 49-year-old victim had reprimanded the boy, who was allegedly drunk, for littering beer cans at about 9am.
“The suspect then acted aggressively and slashed the victim with a knife, wounding him in the left side of his abdomen,” he said in a statement tonight.
Rosdi said police from the Salak South station arrested the suspect at the scene at 10.45am and seized a knife believed to have been used in the incident.
He said the suspect was not attending school, had no criminal record, and tested negative for drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon.
The suspect, who was remanded for one day yesterday, has been released on police bail. - FMT
