Now he's ended up like just another EZAM NOR & DZULKIFLI NORDIN...

Waaaah! HEBAT "SUNGGUH" sambutan bagi CERAMAH "HASSAN ALI" di Kampung Melayu Subang semalam! :-)

Apa kata si LEMBU UMNO sekor "Syairi Isrofil/Dairi Syairi"...: "DHA perjuangan SUCI???! " heheheh

MAS lost RM2.5 billion. Sell it off and privatize it!

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) recorded a stunning net loss of RM2.52 billion for 2011 and the company is now in “crisis”, the national flag carrier said today.

The carrier also confirmed that the losses for the 2011 financial year were the largest in its history. The airline reported a massive net loss of RM1.28 billion in the fourth quarter, which was about as much as the first three quarters combined. “The company is in crisis,” CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya openly admitted in his statement today.

For so many years, MAS has indeed suffered losses continuously and last year, its performance was the worst in history. It clearly shows that the nation's carrier has been badly managed, overstaffed and its management as well as workforce has no productivity at all. Why? It is because the entire organization itself is full of politics, cronyism and opportunists.

In fact the entire board of directors of MAS should resigned en bloc to pave way for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM). Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the BN government's investment arm and largest shareholder in MAS should also sell of their part to private entities in order to allow professionals to run the company competently. Let those who knows how to run a business professionally to run MAS instead of giving it to politicians or conservative civil servants.

It has been proven, the MAS board has been given so many opportunities to buck up, but they are now making it the worst in history.

We would like to tell Umno and BN, forget about the bumiputra entity, the bumiputra equity, the more you talk about maintaining this status in the name of the supremacy of one race, the more you will disgrace that particular race that you claimed to uphold all these years.

HERE AND NOW, BLOGGERS, HERE AND NOW!

Here And Now by Luther Vandross

Here and now is what matters. The future in unpredictable and the past, unalterable.

Here and now, let me state without reservation that my fight is not with RPK or Haris. They are not the enemy. Quite the opposite. Ther are comrade in arms.

Let me state for the record and acknowledge that both these individuals have made substantial and concrete contributions in the awakening of a nation to the indisputable fact that corruption, racism and religious bigotry must be confronted, challenged and destroyed. Corrupt, racist and bigoted administrations, politicians and government must be replaced and their successors made answerable to the Rakyat.

They have also proven that the pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword. They have walked the talk.

Their rights to free speech and their own opinions are unquestioned by me. All I ask is that they be true to themselves, consistent and focus on the primary task at hand.

And if we are not talking about a Tahrir Square response, but Rome and the ballot box (as per RPK), then our options have self-imposed limits. For there would have been no Rome without a Caesar who was undone by perceptions of having unbridled dictatorial ambitions.

But what happened on the morning after the revolution? What happened to the backstabbing Brutus and Cassius or their counterparts in the 1789 French Revolution, Robespierre, Danton and Marat? - exterminated and consigned to the foootnotes of history, that's what. You can't lead or rule a nation of 30 million on a wing and a prayer or by mere consensus, common sense and disparate committees.

But lately, Haris and RPK have been walking a peculiar line.

And that's where we have a problem.

Here and now we do not have the perfect situation in the Opposition as a combined entity. We do not have 100% pure, pristine and wholesome candidates to field for GE 13. Would that we had, but we have to make do with the tools we have.

Nor do we have a fully awakened, educated and aware Rakyat who can unseat BUMNO/BN all by themselves by fusion and chain reaction. The time is too short.

And as much as Haris and his supporters are lobbying for it, none of PKR, PAS or DAP are going to let backline NGO's or prominent individuals determine which candidates they should field or agree to a 1:1 challenge against BUMNO/BN. These NGO's do not have the weight of history behind them, and in the end, who determines who has objective views and who, subjective ones?

Sure we have admirable candidates like Malik Sarwar and some doctors and lawyers, all pretty much untested. If elections are called in a few months time, do we have the bag of winners?

So, what's the first step? It must be to identify our goals.

Politics, as defined by Plato, is about achieving the ideal form of social organization and structure. Leadership and power are cornerstones of it. Without it, nothing concrete or lasting can be achieved. Integrity is another. Ideally, we would like to have perhaps a dozen Mandela's in our midst. But that's wishful thinking. Lasting leadership at the top has always been about the Power of One.

Here and now:
  1. What is our Principal Objective? To unseat the EVIL BUMNO/BN hegemony and consign them to a minority party in Parliament. Is that too difficult to fathom?
  2. What is out strategy? To unite the opposition to BUMNO/BN under one banner to fight at GE13.
  3. Having identified the Leader of Pakatan for GE 13, what should we do? Back him up 100%, of course
  4. Do we have a precedence on it that we can hang our hats on? Damn right we do. GE 2008.
  5. In victory, be magnanimous (you don't have to be generous) to the vanquished. Equally, the murderers, thieves and looters now camping in Putrajaya, MB's offices and the Economic Plundering Unit, ALL must be brought to book. Do remember that the evil is not BUMNO,MCA,MIC,PPP or Gerakan per se; it's in their leadership. Remove that layer permanently and you'll have a bright, new and glorious dawn.
Here and now, who can do it? Well, the candidates are not difficult to identify at all:
  1. Anwar Ibrahim of PKR
  2. Nik Aziz of PAS
  3. Lim Kit Siang of DAP
Given that it was AI who achieved the improbable at GE 12, I don't think we need look further for the Leader of Pakatan for GE 13. I am certain neither Nik Aziz nor LKS can make a fist of it. Anyway, why try and reinvent the wheel? (As an aside, it's interesting that some claim Daim Zainuddin had predicted the outcome of GE 12. I don't remember hearing a peep from Diam Diam, but of course, a million armchair "pundits" all forecast these things with the benefit of hindsight!).

Here and now, this is where we have another problem.

Having identified the logical steps we should take in achieving our objectives, some who profess they fully support these aims, seem to be doing everything to undermine it. In any planning, be it corporate or government, there are short, medium and long-term objectives and strategies. And when you don't have pure, pristine candidates, then you pursue what game theory advocates - minimax/maximin strategy.

Simply put, you drop the obvious losers, shirkers, non-performers, thieves and crooks and go with the rest. Then you co-opt in the new faces strictly on merit and all  of whom are already known in the public domain. There is no 100% guarantee, but the Leader has to go with gut feel and we have to back his judgement to the hilt.

This is not some treatise on political strategy, I don't have that kind of knowledge or practical experience. But it sounds simple and often simplicity is a good basis for tackling complicated issues.

We don't need Tai Chee or Sun Tzu and his 'Art of War'. With the Rakyat, talking straight from the shoulders is always the best strategy.

Here and now, what we don't need is:
  1. RPK to tell us that there is/has to be a future without Anwar Ibrahim. We all, and all our uncle Bob's too, know that. But here and now, what's the alternative? No one is indispensable, and we can see clearly that AI and PKR have already in place a succession plan supported by much younger, but seasoned veterans to guide Nurul along. And if RPK is 90% sure AI is "morally unfit" to become PM, I can tell you 100%, he is.
  2. As soon as some political scandal with sexual undertones erupts, all these slimy guys coming out of the woodwork and saying "Yeah, I knew Anwar in MCKK...used to hang out in the showers and gym with the boys (what else did you expect in an all-male boarding school?)....yeah, I knew about it but kept quiet for 30 years....." kind of BS. I once put that question to the late Captain Yusuff aka blogger Ancient Mariner who exposed the $12.5 billion PKFZ scandal. The Captain, who also schooled at MCKK, replied," That's 100% pure, unadulterated BS." That's good enough for me from a gem of a man who had no enemies and no political axe to grind.
  3. Haris and especially RPK, taking all sorts of potshots at AI and making all sorts of demands and innuendos backed up by unverifiable hearsay on really, here and now irrelevant issues. Bros, if you have a viable and workable alternative, state it and justify it. Convince us you have the know-how, savvy, experience and can deliver. Then we may well go with you. We, the Rakyat together with you, are the 3rd Force. We have to trust each other.
We don't have much time and the situation is not ideal or perfect. The system is stacked against us. Why do you think that despite Big Wig's huge unpopularity for over 20 years, no one could unseat him from Malaysian Indian Circus? His stooges were eased into power at every level, and with virtually unlimited money, they could stop anyone from mounting a successful challenge to their dictatorship. Thus, it took the Power of One, the great and heroic Dr. Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj of Socialist Party, to slay The Beast of Sg. Siput in an epic David vs Goliath contest.

So, we are looking at taking our best shot, under the most challenging and trying of circumstances, to putting the known OGRE, BUMNO/BN, out of its misery and voting in PAKATAN! BUMNO/BN is too far gone down the line of corruption and wants, is begging, to be consigned to political oblivion for a while. But because of FACE and FALSE PRIDE they can't ask openly for it. So, the Rakyat has to take the initiative.

What's the known track record now of Pakatan?
  1. The new MB's in the Pakatan-controlled states are all known to be clean and not condone or perpetuate corruption. Isn't that a great start and achievement in 4 years vs 32 years of absolute political and financial mayhem and looting under BUMNO/BN?
  2. The Pakatan-controlled states are all running budget surpluses, holding cash reserves for re-investments and topping the destinations for FDI's. Isn't that another great start? BUMNO/ BN Federal Ministers are all falling over themselves claiming they contributed to it. But hang on, why did it NOT occur before this? Hmmm?
  3. Penang was the 1st state to reward its citizens with cash bonus. BUMNO/BN stirred the faeces pot by playing the racist and bigoted religious card by saying some of this money could have come from tax on 'haram' businesses and asked Muslims to return it. Barely a heartbeat later Dr.Imelda Birkin Rosemajib launches his $500 low income earners bonus scheme. What happened to all that "haram tax money" doubts?
Once we have won, then we can tinker and tweak the system and strive for perfection. But how are we to get there if there are any number of strategies, any number of opinions and any number of "do-gooders" (many of whom are "wolves in sheep's clothing") with any number of agendas?

Here and now, more than anything, we need a WINNABLE LEADERSHIP. Get that in the bag and it we'll coast to victory.

Or else, what's your proposal, Haris or RPK? What's your short-term strategy for assured victory?

Know and play your role. If you are an out-and-out blogger only, slaughter with the pen. If you are a blogger with political aspirations, then enter the arena. I do not doubt for one second that if Haris stands in the right constituency, it will be slam dunk. The only way to be sure is to take the risk and "turun gelanggang". If it were possible for RPK to return, then he too should "turun gelanggang" because that's the only way to slay the beast.

Yes, you can write and blog, but only so much. The last mile solution lies in uniting the voters behind you and engaging the enemy, face to face, at the polling stations and booths.

Do you have even a half winnable plan or not? Teetering and tottering from People's Parliament to Anak Bangsa Malaysia to 3rd Force and MCLM and Kita and ABU shows utter lack of focus.

Otherwise, here and now, stop griping, sniping and sabotaging (unless of course, your real intention is to back BUMNO/BN). Unite under one banner and back Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan. All we need to know and be assured of are, if more than anyone else, does Anwar have the character, qualifications and track-record to lead us to victory, and guide us thereafter.

Let's not fall for this Mahathir, Najib and BUMNO red herring that Anwar is ambitious to become Prime Minister??!! You mean Mahathir and Najib entered politics beacuse they had no ambitions to become PM but aspired to retire as Chief Mandore to the Deputy Speaker or some such post? Sheesh, what pathetic hypocrites and creeps these BUMNO promoters are.

We only need assurance that Anwar is for Rome first, and Caesar, second.

So PEOPLE, here and now, let us take our best shot and vote for the damn bloody obvious choice -PAKATAN!

Out with BUMNO/BN!

Whores, Sons and Soil

Friends have been wondering the rather quiet blips on the blog, thinking that some special branch or security apparatus at the command of the ruling party has whisked me away to be subjected to 'special treatment' by HMS or His Majesty Service.

It was more work that had kept me imprisoned in my own self absorbing world to finish the ever unending work just to ensure there is money coming at the end of the month.

Sometimes, it does pay to earn below RM3,000 a month as you get free money, dirt cheap homes, courtesy of EPF to stay in neighbourhood that have a commanding view of the Petronas Twin Towers or literally s stone's throw away from the central shopping or financial district.

Like in Kuala Lumpur, so much money is going to be pumped to provide facilities and one wonders if it is the desperation of the city folks to avoid jams, crowded living and not be reminded we are getting to be an expensive city to live in, that the urban folks are not questioning if the projects really costs that much billions.

We spend billions to built an LRT system that doesn't connect because of someone's bright idea to partition the route and now we are spending probably 5 times more to pay for some stupid mistakes to make others even richer.

It was rather odd to hear that our Malaysian Thais of Thai origin are considered more sons of the soil that other major races principally the Chinese and Indians! Odd, we didn't hear those ketuanan NGOs going berserk their rights and privileges are given out to those who don't belong to the same breed whatever it means or faith!

While everyone wants to be treated special, this conferment of sons of the soil status is a result of another legacy of the appointed 1Malaysia. Those who help me gets help hah! The famous scratching back ransom kind of bargaining with the ordinary voters.

But our Malaysia Thai are not ordinary voters because they have been loyal scratching the back of one party for so long, it's time to let them enjoy the fruits of their scratching.

Which brings to the question, one vote accords you privileges till death do you part, while the thousands of taxes you pay, gets you nothing - at least that is what some race feels.

So now we know that privileges and rights is linked to being loyal, the voting loyalty than paying taxes, working hard, being honest or just wanting a fair share of one's toils and burdens.

Too bad you China-apek and Indian mari, your votes don't give you any rights simply because you fellows have been so inconsistent in voting for opposition and then switch. There is no place for opportunists voters. But those accorded sons of the soil status are given vast opportunities even if they vacillate in their loyalty.

So to overcome this abuse of privileges, the solution is to change the system that perpetuate it, like in Sabah, the sons of soil status was accorded to many when a new State government took over, remember?

So you China-apek and Indian vello, stop asking for rights and privileges.Just pay your taxes and keep your mouth shut and stay in your corner they direct you.

Speaking of Thais, it was lovely the Thai Prime Minister, duly elected against odds and a women at that, Yingluck Shinawatra visit BolehLand to meet the nonelected, by the people that is, leader. Speaks volumes of the kind of tolerance, acceptance and respect our northern neighbours have. And we claim to have the best world democracy when a female is not allowed to be a leaders and the women leaders in the government are getting a good hide for scandals than one that earn the respect of the people, hah!

While some hope that the other party are people who respect everyone, you know justice, freedom, respect, transparency and what not, some of the leaders in the hopefuls to rule Putrajaya are behaving like whores. Especially the DAP fellow for branding reporters prostitutes, whores or loose woman, any of this will  mean the same thing even if that insensitive MCP apologises he was misquoted. And we accuse reporters of being juvenile delinquent when we have leaders whose brains and mouth are more loose that the loose word to describe the reporters.

Shame on this DAP fellow. Perhaps the DAP are behaving big headed Dreaming Awaiting Putrajaya that he can afford to be sexist, disgusting and humiliating. Having had media friends, the MSM should just boycott the DAP since the DAP is always asking the whole country to boycott the MSM!

Such is the contrast in BolehLand when both sides are trying so hard to win votes they are willing to behave worse than whores. And these leaders are supposed to be sons of the country for your young generation to emulate! - YAHMEH!!!

Perkasa threatens boycott, Star suspends two

The youth section of right-wing Malay NGO Perkasa will organise a boycott of MCA-owned English-daily The Star if the Home Ministry does not take stern action against the newspaper for allegedly insulting Islam.

"If there is no stern action from the ministry, we shall stage a nationwide roadshow to boycott The Star," Wira Perkasa chief Irwan Fahmy Ideris told reporters in Putrajaya today.

He said this after handing over a memorandum to a senior representative from the ministry's administration division, in which Wira Perkasa calls for strict action against The Star or a suspension of its printing licence.

"The Home Ministry should suspend The Star's printing permit or take stern action to ensure that this does not happen again," Irwan said.
In another development, two editors from the English daily were suspended today in connection with the use of an offending picture, according to sources.

No other detail was immediately available.

NONEThe daily apologised on its website on Monday and in the print version the following day.

Perkasa is part of the chorus lambasting the daily for publsihing a picture of American soul singer Erykah Badu (left) sporting a body art of the Arabic character representing the name of Allah.

"They don't seem to respect the sensitivities of Malays and Muslims, who are the majority in the country.

"If they are like this, they shouldn't be in the business. We, at Wira Perkasa, will no longer compromise with The Star," Irwan lashed out.

star pork photo report 110811 01He reiterated that this was the second time that the MCA-owned daily had committed such a blunder, pointing out that the newspaper had put a pork dish on its pages promoting food during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan last year.

According to Associated Press, Badu said she holds no grudge against the government for barring her from performing following the controversy.

More than 1,500 people had bought tickets to watch the Grammy-winning American singer at a Kuala Lumpur auditorium today.
"It's sad, because we traveled a long way," Badu was quoted as saying in Kuala Lumpur today.

"But I'm totally understanding of (the government's) protection of the laws and its people. He doesn't want anything to happen.

"I'm good with that."

'I was assaulted by Umno, Perkasa members'

A victim of the disruption at Sunday's anti-Lynas rally in Penang, Abbey Ong, says she and her boyfriend were attacked by a hostile group before Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng arrived at the scene.
The rally was held at the Speakers Square in Esplanade and attended by more than 500 people, in solidarity with the Himpunan Hijau 2.0 gathering in Kuantan opposing the Australian-owned Lynas Advanced Materials Plant in Gebeng, Kuantan.
NONEOng, 28, said she was helping to carry some boxes at the rally vanue when a few men "roughly shoved" her from the back and pushed her.
"My boyfriend, who was nearby tried, to protect me but was hit by the men and injured his fingernail and head," she told a press conference held by Lim in his office today.
Ong said the incident occured before Lim arrived to give his speech at the rally, contrary to Umno's assertion that chaos erupted after the CM provoked the group.
Ong, a personal assistant to state executive councillor Law Heng Kiang, said she believes the men who assaulted her are members of Umno and the Malay rights group Perkasa.
She was not able to say how many men assaulted her as the situation was "extremely chaotic at that point in time".
At the press event, a video clip of how Ong was attacked was shown to the press.
Lim complains to IGP
Meanwhile, Lim said he has written a letter to Inspectopr-General of Police Ismail Omar about the incident during which his speech on the Lynas issue was disrupted and two journalists from the Chinese press were injured by pro-Lynas supporters.
He accused Umno and Perkasa for rioting and disturbing him during the event.
"I understand that before I arrived, the group had already been harassing the protesters to stop their rally and return home," he told reporters.
"Many were pushed and beaten until they fell, including women. It is fortunate that the victims did not retaliate," he added.
NONELim also related how the pro-Lynas supporters hurled racist and vulgar statements at him and the anti-Lynas protesters.
In his letter to the IGP, he said, he stated that the reporters - Adam Chew and Lee Hong Chun of Kwong Wah Jit Poh - were injured and sent to the Penang Hospital for treatment.
He reminded Ismail that two reporters from the Chinese media were also injured last year, during a rally at Komtar, where Umno and Perkasa members were also involved.
"This is the second time reporters have been hurt and police did not take action against the attackers," Lim said.
"The rioters also hit and tried to stop my car and spat on the vehicle (as I was leaving the protest venue).
"The attack happened in public and arbitrarily, even in front of the police who were standing nearby, but the police did not do anything to control the situation," he added.
'Video shows police just stood watch'
He claimed that from the video evidence, the police also stood watch and did not try to protect him from those who assaulted his vehicle.
He added that he was invited to the event , organised by local human rights NGO Suaram, as the chief minister of the state.
He said he has lodged a police report and the evidence gathered has been submitted to the police.
"We cannot accept the behaviour of the police who did not do anything to control the situation," Lim said.
"We hope stern action will be taken against those involved so that a similar incident does not happen again."

Political funding to be controlled: The Question is, how effectively? - Ramon Navaratnam

Political funding to be controlled: The Question is, how effectively? - Ramon Navaratnam
Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib and his Government must be congratulated for the innovative new initiatives to control Political Funding ,which obviously must be checked .
This major decision is most timely as the new rules on political funding could now be applied well before the 13th General Elections which will be held soon and so the decision is all the more welcome .
Political Funding has given rise to the ugly practice of Money Politics which is widely regarded as the Mother of Corruption. Any control on Political Funding therefore will go a long way to curb corruption not only in the political arena, but throughout the system.
There must be supportive measures as well
However it must be recognised that these new initiatives can be circumscribed by other measures , such as giving cash donations to individual candidates on the promise of contracts and favours which could be given as rewarded to donors later after the political party or candidate wins the election.
Hence this good move has to be supported by other measures , such as the following , to make the new rules really work effectively .
Firstly , the rules governing Election Expenditure must not only be tightened , but scrupulously enforced. There is no point recording donations to the political parties and giving receipts for them , if contributions are provided in kind , such as in the form of banners and bunting and dinners and gifts and even cash grants to the voters !
Secondly, Political leaders in Government , whether at Federal or State level and also other elected officials are in their powerful and highly influential positions because of the political election process. Hence any wealth that they accumulate due too ill gotten gains must be scrutinised and made accountable to the rayaat , whom they are to serve dutifully and honestly.
Thus the Government's sound decision that the Macc Chief Commissioner will now be privy to the Statutory Declaration of assets of the members of the administration , is again most gratifying and commendable .
Here again we hope that assets refer to Nett Assets , that is including Liabilities as well ! There is a need to ensure that a political candidate does not borrow large sums for electioneering purposes but does not pay it back to the political funder !
Applied at all levels
Furthermore it is imperative that these new laudable anti corruption measures pertaining to both political donations and asset declarations , are applied to all elected officials at all levels of Government all over the country .
While new policies and rules and regulations are always useful , the real test of the pudding is in the eating. . So the Macc now armed with new powers and even with the promise of a higher status for the Chief Commissioner and greater resources , will be expected by the public to become much more successful in combating corruption in our country.
With these good measures in force , the Macc performance and results have to improve significantly. Otherwise the rayaat will become even more frustrated with the destructive spread of corruption that has been eroding our sense of well being and confidence in our future !
On our part , we have to give all our full support to the Macc which we expect to become more active in the fight against corruption and Money Politics - without fear or favour.

Najib's decision to declare assets a right snub for Nazri and VK Liew - Robert Phang

Najib's decision to declare assets a right snub for Nazri and VK Liew - Robert Phang
I hail the decision by PM YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on the 27thFebruary 2012 that “MACC GETS RIGHT TO VIEW ASSETS DECLARATION OF TOP LEADERSHIP”, as reported in the press.
It is therefore very clear that all Politicians and including government servants must declare their assets to MACC or MACC has the right to demand their declaration.
I wish to recapitulate, some so called Chinese leaders like Y.B. VK. Liew’s irrational stand, that it is inappropriate for MACC to keep records of properties of ministers and deputy ministers.
PM YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s decision is loud and clear. May I remind YB VK Liew and YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri to adhere the instruction given by BN’s paramount leader PM YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
If you still have much to hide, then quit. Needless to say, YB VK Liew and other politicians should be reminded that they are elected by the people to serve in public office and their salaries come from law-abiding taxpayers. Therefore they are accountable to the people at all times and can be made answerable to MACC when needed. People are their bosses.
Please follow PM YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s instruction.
