Still not clear when Negeri Sembilan MB will be sworn in

GE14 | There is still no clear date on when the new Negeri Sembilan menteri besar will be sworn in.

However, state Pakatan Harapan chief Aminuddin Harun confirmed that his name has been put forth as the menteri besar candidate to Negeri Sembilan Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.

“Today I presented an appointment letter from the Harapan president on the appointment of the new menteri besar (to the Negeri Sembilan ruler).

“The name which was sent by the Harapan president, is a person whose name is Aminuddin Harun.

“It went well, thankfully. Insyaallah, Tuanku (Muhriz) informed that the swearing-in of the menteri besar will happen as soon as possible,” Aminuddin told reporters.

He was leaving the grounds of Istana Seri Menanti, the official residence of the Negeri Sembilan ruler, where he had been since around 2.30pm.

When pressed further on when the swearing-in ceremony would happen, he reiterated that it was up to Tuanku Muhriz.

All 20 Harapan state assemblypersons gathered at the palace to meet with the ruler today upon his invitation, Aminuddin said.

It was a friendly meeting with Tuanku Muhriz, he said, and they spoke about state issues and development in Negeri Sembilan.

Negeri Sembilan Harapan can now form a simple majority state government after capturing 20 of the 36 seats in the state last night. -Mkini
