Mahathir’s Continued Insult To The Raja-Raja Melayu

This is the trouble with Mahathir. He likes to speak in riddles and uses cryptic language. Just say what you want to say. You want to fight with the Raja-Raya Melayu but you want to pretend it is the Raja-Raja Melayu who are being unreasonable. Mahathir is trying to play the victim while making the Raja-Raja Melayu appear the aggressors. Kalau dah pariah tu pariah juga.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in Parliament today he would never allow Malaysia to revert to an absolute monarchy. Actually, Melaka’s absolute monarchy ended in 1511 while, for the rest of Malaysia, the absolute monarchies began to end since the 1800s — the last absolute monarchy, Johor, ended in 1914.

So, since 104 years ago in 1914, none of the Malay states were absolute monarchies. And, since 1948, all the states were merged into a federation. Then, in 1957, the Federal Constitution of Malaya was drafted to turn the Federation into a constitutional monarchy.

So, which absolute monarchy is Mahathir referring to? The Melaka absolute monarchy prior to 1511 or the Johor absolute monarchy prior to 1914?

Why is Mahathir continuing to insult the Raja-Raja Melayu? If Mahathir wants to start a fight with the Raja-Raja Melayu then be man enough to openly declare war on the Raja-Raja Melayu. Mahathir is insinuating all sorts of things without directly saying what he wants to say.
