Mazlee Malik had been on the 'wrong footing' since being appointed Education Minister a year ago. Mazlee is 'incompetent' for the position and has currently started making 'unwarranted' statements like an Opposition leader.
From black school shoes, increased matriculation intake and now equating it to the unfair employment quota system applied on Malays in the private sector.
Mazlee thought he had achieved great success by enlarging the matriculation intake from 25,000 to 40,000 students while maintaining the quota for bumiputras and Malays at 80%. A lot of criticism were raised by many quarters on this enlarged intake and the subsequent effect on the "tough" STPM holders, who are mostly non-Malays on their chances on gaining entry into the local universities.
Lately, he questioned the selection of Malays and bumiputras on their employment chances in the private sector with a Mandarin requirement, and had claimed it to be unfair and discriminatory.
Many DAP leaders had voiced their dissatisfaction on this unwarranted statement. DAP is a part of the ruling government and Mazlee should not have offended their feelings. Mazlee should have called and had a friendly discussion with them while obtaining valuable feedback so that he could have improved on his overall performance in the future.
It has been revealed that a petition has been launched to request PM Tun Dr Mahathir to remove Mazlee as Education Minister.
Pakatan Harapan federal leaders should actually meet as soon as possible to resolve this issue before the issue gets out of hand while there seem to be an opposition group trying to make this issue into a racist issue to support their political agenda with a view of overthrowing this democratically elected Pakatan Harapan federal government. - Mohd. ReplyDeleteYes admin I fully agreed. He is not up to the mark as education minister. Nothing has change, no new idea, incompetent. Period.
ReplyDeleteGovt schools/ Uni should generate graduate with positive confidence traits. Now we see them doing a short prayer before drilling, welding or any office assignment seeking devine help! And when given task not completed, get replied "it's God's willing". In a commercial employment business world, there are penalties if project/ orders not delivered since time is of the main essence to complete with confidence. Besides knowledge, the Education Ministry should look on how to generate best quality employees.
