It is the feeling of many Malaysians that barber shops and hair-dressing saloon should remain closed for another two weeks since these barbers and/or hair-dressers have very close contact with their customers. Most of them need to touch their customers to provide their service. They also tend to speak to their customers at very close range even with their mask on.
Waiting another two weeks to have their hair cut will not be a problem although some may have discomfort which they can bare, taking into account the risk factor.
Our government should reconsider their decision to allow the barber shops and hair dressing saloons from operating for the next two weeks to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus getting infected by the customers at these barber shops or hair dressing saloons since they may not sanitize the chair and equipment to serve the next customer and to be safe. - Mohd.
