KUALA LUMPUR: Six motorcyclists were arrested for performing dangerous stunts on the Duke and Akleh expressways.
Kuala Lumpur traffic chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya said three of those arrested did not have valid licences.
"We arrested a 16-year-old boy doing a wheelie on Akleh, while five others, aged 16 to 47, were caught on DUKE pulling off the Superman stunts and riding zig-zag.
"We believe the group of five were competing and racing against each other," he said.
He added the motorcyclists had also made a few modifications to their motorcycles, including modifying the engine to optimise speed, switching the exhaust pipe to one that produced loud noises and using smaller tyres.
The six were caught under Op Samseng Jalanan between 11pm on Friday (May 22) and 3am Saturday (May 23) and will be investigated for reckless and dangerous driving. - Star
