KUALA LUMPUR: Two men in a car were shot by gunmen in front of a secondary school in Banting.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat said that the victims, in an effort to escape the gunmen, rammed into a group of students and several other cars during the 12.45pm incident on Friday (Sept 25).
"The suspects had tailed the victims and fired several shots at the car, which was driven by a bodyguard. The victims were hit on the chest and other parts of the body and were rushed to the Banting Hospital for treatment," he said.
He added that three students suffered injuries to their legs and necks and were also being treated at the hospital.
"Doctors are also checking whether they suffered any other injuries," SAC Fadzil said.
He said the police are in the midst of identifying the suspects who were on a motorcycle when they attacked.
"We believe the motive behind the attack is a clash between two groups," SAC Fadzil said, adding that anyone with information should contact the nearest police station.
