PUTRAJAYA: Private higher learning institutions have been exempted from the conditional movement control order (CMCO) and are allowed to hold examinations conducted by external examination providers according to the set schedule.
The higher education department said the exemption involved 3,031 local students and 195 international students of private institutions in the four areas placed under the CMCO -Selangor, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
However, it said the students must get a letter of confirmation from their respective institutions.
“It involves students taking the Cambridge GCE A-Level, Australian matriculation and Canadian pre-university examinations.
“Also involved are those who have registered to sit for international examinations and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants examination,” the department said in a statement.
It said the exemption given is subject to the institutions’ compliance with SOPs. - FMT
