Burst pipe causes water cuts in 142 areas in Petaling, Klang

 

Air Selangor says the burst pipe is a result of roadworks by a third party near the Federal Highway.

PETALING JAYA: A total of 142 areas in the Petaling and Klang districts of Selangor face unscheduled water cuts after a pipe burst in Section 15, Shah Alam.

In a statement, Air Selangor said it would start emergency repair work on the pipe at 3pm today.

“The repair work will cause an unscheduled water supply disruption in 142 areas in the Petaling and Klang regions,” it said.

It expects repair work to be completed at 3am tomorrow, after which water supply will be restored in stages.

Water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises.
