Lestari Perdana landslip: Repair, restoration works to take about one week

SERI KEMBANGAN: The landslip which damaged five vehicles at Lestari Perdana, Bandar Putra Permai was the second incident at the same location since 2017.

Petaling District Officer Datuk Johary Anuar said as of now, repair and restoration works were expected to be completed within a week.

"Since yesterday, works were carried out to install piles at the area to avoid recurrence of the incident.

"Nevertheless, we view serious the incident and are working closely with several agencies to identify the cause of landslip," he told reporters when met at the scene.

Present was Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner A. A. Anbalagan.

A full report over the incident, Johary said, would be prepared after analysis to identify the cause of the landslip concluded.

Anbalagan said 17 commercial premises operating nearby the area had been instructed to temporarily ceased their operations

"This is because the premises are located about 150m away from the site where the incident took place.

"We have taken cautionary measures by informing owner of the premises to temporarily ceased their operations until we are sure that the situation is safe," he said. - NST
