Adam Adli’s suspension from university extended indefinitely

Adam Adli is currently facing sedition charges. - September 18, 2013.Student activist Adam Adli Abdul Halim’s suspension from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris has been extended. This time, indefinitely.

The 23-year-old said the university had extended the suspension on grounds that he was involved in the on-going trial under the Sedition Act.

“I received a letter dated September 6, signed by the university’s vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Zakaria Kasa, which stated that this suspension was because of the sedition trial,” he said in a statement today.

“The letter also stated that the suspension was with immediate effect and would only end after the completion of my court case.”

Adam Adli, however, claimed his suspension was politically motivated. – September 18, 2013.
