...as Minister of Finance? Gotcha !!
First here is a rumour that was flying around KL this afternoon. The keadilan fellows have it out in their paper.
I did sms some horses, but they did not open their mouths. So I couldnt get it direct from the horses' mouth.
There already was a rumour that in a Cabinet reshuffle :
- The PM Najib will give up the Finance portfolio to Dato Sri Hishamuddin Hussein.
- Hisham would give up the Transport Ministry to the MCA.
- Hisham would also give up the Defense portfolio to Zahid Hamidi.
- Zahid would give up the Home Affairs portfolio to Najib.
(The Abu Sayyaf are really poking fun at Zahid - they just kidnapped another two Malaysian Chinese in Sabah. Nazri says 76 flights from China have been cancelled and Chinese visitors have dropped by 30,000 ++ or something. ESSCOM and the Home Ministry better wake up on this one. We need our best and brightest in Sabah if we are going to defeat the Abu Sayyaf. I dont think Zahid Hamidi is cut out for this type of work.)
The MCA would not give up the ghost. The MCA will get back into the Cabinet with Transport and Health under their management.
Then today the rumour started flying that the Deputy PM Muhyiddin Yassin will go on long leave prior to his retirement. Hisham Hussein will replace him as DPM. Hence the news above.
Next up is the comment by Dato Kadir Jasin in his blog which has been picked up by the Malaysian Insider. You can read the story here : Najib should resign as finance minister, says former NST editor
Here is a quick gist :
- Najib should step down from finance for questionable mgmnt of finances
- no separation of power between premiership and finance portfolio
- If dissatisfied with finance who to complain to (maybe to Ringgit Malaysia?)
- Najib took over in 2009, economic growth stagnated 5%
- 2009 - 2013 economic growth average of 4.28% - ordinary figure
- M'sia potential to grow at a much faster rate
- Najib's tenure has seen a sharp increase in spending
- 3.2% of GDP in 2008
- 6.7% of GDP in 2010, first budget under Najib
- deficit rose - 2009 41.24% of GDP, 2010 52.8%, 2014 est. 54.8% of GDP
- debt increased from RM362.3 billion 2009 to RM519.3 billion 2013
- increasing deficit - country's rating from stable to negative last year
- removed subsidies for fuel & electricity caused public anger
- Kadir said technocrat could be appointed to finance post
- shortage of talented economists and financiers like Daim Zainuddin
- Daim had solved Malaysia's economic crises on two separate occasions
- ..premier should not hold finance, expertise insufficient
Well folks, according to the Opposition guys the Lembu family members have swiped RM8.6 B from a friendly lease agreement for six campuses. Its a 25 year lease. Its called PFI or Public Fooling Initiative. Why not extend the lease to 50 years and double the figure to RM17.2 B? Kan lebih senang kira?
YB Kamal says the RM800 million spent on the laptops and computers have yielded jack sh*t. The urban vs rural divide is still not bridged. Laptops of low quality.
The distance from the KLIA to KLIA2 is about two kilometres or less. Yet the ERL hook up alone cost RM100 million (the train connection). RM100 million for two kilometres??
There is a query now on the massive cost over run of the entire KLIA2 project.
Petronas has dropped to 75th position in the Fortune 500 rankings. Petronas ventures into all the Allah forsaken places like Iraq and Sudan - where they lose money. Petronas oil fields in Iraq are just south of Baghdad. Baghdad is in deep sh*t right now.
Folks, why does Petronas go to such risky places? My oil and gas advisor says Petronas has given many of the easy peasy, low hanging fruit oil concessions in the South China Sea to many foreign exploration companies. They make easy money. In the meantime Petronas moves into all these Allah forsaken high risk countries around the world. Apa lah punya bangang? Now Petronas is set to lose more money.
Can someone ask in Parliament exactly how much money Petronas has lost in Sudan, Egypt and the potential losses in Iraq? The PM's closest advisor is now a Board Member of Petronas.
They want to pass a Bill in Parliament where taxpayers have to pay a special 1.5% processing fee to the Income Tax Department for collecting taxes from us !!
Plus they want the power to invest part of our tax contributions in the stock market and such.
I think I know the traitorous snake who would have proposed such stupid ideas. He has done it once before. Police reports were made but predictably no action was taken against him.
Then we come to 1MDB. I think this name 1MDB has very bad feng shui.
1MDB can mean :
Satu Malaysia Deficit Budget. Or
Satu Malaysia Die Berhutang. Or
Satu Malaysia Deficit Bankrupt. Or
Satu Malaysia Dilanda Bencana.
Maybe Kak Ros can tell hubby to change the name. RM38 Billion of taxpayer's money sudah hilang. Try lah 1MBH - Satu Malaysia's Black Hole. Or 1MBT - Satu Malaysia in Bermuda Triangle.
What does the gomen do? Fuel subsidies have been cut, menteri sardin cap ayam said 'jangan makan ayam', PM says GST will be implemented - so that the gomen can cut losses from all this financial mismanagement.

Lets list some of Kadir Jasin's points again:
- (spending was) 3.2% of GDP in 2008
- (jumped to) 6.7% of GDP in 2010, first budget under Najib
- deficit rose - 2009 41.24% of GDP, 2010 52.8%, 2014 est. 54.8% of GDP
- debt increased from RM362.3 billion 2009 to RM519.3 billion 2013
- increasing deficit - country's rating from stable to negative last year
- removed subsidies for fuel & electricity caused public anger
These are terrible achievements. If this were Japan, both the PM and Finance Minister would have been handed ceremonial swords - with no cakes to cut. If the PM and FM were the same person they may do a ninja thing as well.
Now here is the cake. Najib also coolly said he has spent RM7.2 Billion on consultants alone. Doing what? All of the above crap?
These numbers speak so loudly that they will drown out the kuliah subuh from that mosque which is 5 km away from your house.
Our country is in deep sh*t. The corruption, wastage and the incompetence will not only get the BN kicked out in 2018 (which is becoming a foregone conclusion) but the country (thats the people ok, you and me) are suffering irrepairable damage.
Its no more a question of politics anymore - of whether BN rules or the Opposition takes over. It is a question of whether the country can survive all this crap. I really hope the Elders will step up once more to save the nation. Do not turn your back on the nation. The nation is far, far greater than a Prime Minister.
Anyway here are two more headlines at the the bottom of that Malaysian Insider report :
- Flight MH370 will not affect tourism, says Nazri Aziz – Bernama
- Malaysia rated world’s top Muslim-friendly holiday spot, says Najib – Bernama
I rest my case.
