PKR lawmaker Rafizi Ramli has told Tabung Haji to stop confusing the public by hiding the truth about the fund's financial woes behind financial terms.
The Pandan MP said it was clearly showed in the fund's 2014 financial statement that its reserves were in the negative, meaning that Tabung Haji would not have enough funds or assets to pay back depositors all at once, let alone pay them dividends.
“I hope the Tabung Haji leadership can stop confusing the people, hiding the truth behind financial terms.
“If it is true that the financial position of Tabung Haji is fine, I urge its chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim to hold an open briefing to answer the people's questions.
“I will attend the briefing as a depositor because half of my retirement savings are with Tabung Haji,” the PKR secretary-general said in a statement today. – January 29, 2016.
