KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 25): Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said sidestepped a question on expenses incurred during Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's trip to Washington, the US, last month.
In her written reply to a parliamentary question by DAP lawmaker Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Azalina said expenses incurred during Najib's official visit there, which spans from Sept 9 to 16, were in accordance to Members of Parliament (Remuneration) Act 1980.
"These expenses included flight expenses, accommodation, transportation, food allowances, laundry, telephone and others. The Prime Minister's and his delegation's expenses are based on a rate fixed from time to time," said Azalina.
Loke had sought details of Najib's accommodation cost and total rooms reserved during his visit there from Sept 11 to 13.
