KUALA LUMPUR: The results of Covid-19 tests conducted on those identified as close contacts of the Babel fitness centre member who tested positive have returned negative.
In a statement today, Suria KLCC management said extensive contact tracing was conducted immediately upon being alerted of the Covid-19 case involving a member of the Babel gym.
According to the statement, the Babel gym member in question had been to the fitness centre in Suria KLCC on four separate occasions between Sept 9 and 13, 2020.
“In an immediate action to ensure the public’s safety, Suria KLCC conducted a thorough sanitisation and disinfection exercise of the entire mall, especially at the common areas. The measures included regular cleaning of items that have more frequent points of contact,” it said.
It also said Suria KLCC does not expect any impact to the mall’s business as the case is well-contained and business operations will continue as usual.
“We advise members of the public not to speculate and/or spread unfounded rumours. During this time, the best measure is to act responsibly and remain calm while obtaining valid information from official sources.” - FMT
