BEING an obedient well-behaved child is no easy feat since it is normal for children that age to be naughty or throw a tantrum. A mother of a six-year-old boy related her experience on Threads.
Her son Aidan told her that his teachers did not scold him as he was well behaved the whole time he was in school. Upon hearing this, the mother who pens her thoughts under the handle DIR (@izzatyridz) was proud of him and kissed his forehead.
She was in for a surprise that night as Aidan cried. Thinking that her son may have been injured, she checked on him physically.
She also noticed that he was not crying in pain. Assuming that he was sad, she asked him the reason.

In tears, Aidan revealed that he was sad and tired of remaining well behaved.
“Aidan is sad, ma. Aidan is tired. Aidan behaved at school. You didn’t allow me to be naughty. Aidan just sat down quietly,” the boy told his mother.
Upon hearing his explanation, the mother offered to massage the boy’s feet.
Only then it dawned to the mother that children tend to behave strangely or appear to be naughty at home.
The son would jump, throw things, scream and even sing since home is his safe zone. Hence, he feels safe to be himself and just express what he felt. That was what others perceived as being naughty.

Aidan also asked permission to cry a little longer. He was concerned that he would invoke the wrath of God.
His mother assured him that would not be so.
Interestingly, a commenter @aina_alwai agreed with the poster. She revealed that the characteristics mentioned were prominent especially among children with autism.
The children are smart at masking and behave well at school. That’s when they are masking and present a different personality. Once they are home – their safety zone – they would throw all kind of tantrum, revealed @aina_alwai who has an autistic child.
Another commenter @innshafiza revealed that her child is an introvert in school causes the family to be in stress at home.
Other netizens also congratulated @izzatyridz for conducting herself so well with her child and resolving the issue.
