PH election director Amirudin Shari says the coalition has several candidates but there is a consensus for the Amanah veep to be its candidate.

PH election director Amirudin Shari said Adly, a former chief minister, was the best candidate for the position.
“Adly is the best candidate, along with a few others, but there is a consensus to name Adly as the candidate, provided we secure a majority or are entrusted with the mandate,” he told reporters here today.
Amirudin added that PH was confident of mounting a strong challenge in the state polls following the conclusion of the nomination process yesterday.
Adly faces a four-cornered contest against Perikatan Nasional, Bersama and an independent candidate as he seeks a third term as Bukit Katil assemblyman.
In the 2021 state polls, the Amanah vice-president won the seat with a majority of 1,057 votes, defeating three other candidates from Barisan Nasional, PN, and an independent.
He had served as chief minister from 2018 to 2020. - FMT
