Sosilawati murder: PKR’s Shamsul gives statement

Parti Keadilan Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin today turned up at the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission’s headquarters here to give a statement on allegations he had made about the Banting murders.

He arrived at 3.20pm and left about an hour later.

However, he was tight-lipped when questioned by reporters about the matter.

On police wanting to question him about his allegations, he said police had yet to contact him and that he only knew this through the media, which he claimed was not in accordance to the Criminal Procudere Code.

He had alleged that police were involved in the murders.

The Banting murders refer to the deaths of cosmetics millionaire Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya, 47, her driver Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, and CIMB Bank officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, who went missing on August 30 after they went to Banting, Selangor, over a land deal. — Bernama
