Swollen heel forces Muhyiddin to cancel late his Sarawak visit

KUCHING, Nov 23 — Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has cancelled his two-day visit to Sarawak due today because of a swollen heel, his press secretary Datuk Ainon Mohd said.

Ainon, when contacted by Bernama, said the deputy prime minister had been advised by doctors to rest.

Muhyiddin was scheduled to visit the two northern districts of Limbang and Lawas.

He was to have attended a dinner with community leaders and the people at the Limbang community hall this evening and a briefing on development at the office of the Limbang Resident as well as a meet-the-people session tomorrow.

He was also scheduled to fly by helicopter tomorrow to Lawas, the northernmost district in Sarawak, to visit the Tedungan customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complex and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kg Awat-Awat and attend a meet-the-people session at the Lawas indoor stadium. — Bernama
