The minister said the Cabinet had decided on the matter during its meeting earlier today.
“The prime minister and the Cabinet agreed that for those 9A+ who did not get overseas scholarships, the government has decided to send them to IPTS (local private institutions), all 86 of them.
“If we send them overseas the cost to finance them will increase to RM52.1 million, but if we offer them IPTS, the cost will be RM21.6 million... IPTS will eventually take them overseas,” said Nazri.
