Ibrahim Ali unclear on the concept of justice

Perkasa president content to live in a veil of ignorance and double standard, says Nurul Izzah.
PETALING JAYA: Perkasa president and Pasir Mas MP Ibrahim Ali does not understand the concept of justice for all, said PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar.
“I’m not surprised that he fails to grasp the concept of justice since he is quite content with different sets of rules for different groups in Malaysia,” said Nurul Izzah.
The Lembah Pantai MP was commenting on Ibrahim’s remarks, likening the 901 Free Anwar campaign as an affront to justice and spark revolutions similar to the ones in the Middle East.
901 refers to Jan 9, 2011, the date when judgment on Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s Sodomy II trial will be delivered by the High Court.
Anwar is facing sodomy charges following a police report made against him in 2008 by his former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Nurul Izzah explained that the 901 campaign is a way for the public to express their desire to see that justice is done based on irrefutable evidence and a fair trial process.
“It is important for Malaysians to show their support as an injustice to any Malaysian is an affront to all of us,” she said.
Nurul Izzah added that seeking justice for Anwar is an important milestone due to the tarnished reputation of judiciary.
“We stand by the demand for justice for Anwar which symbolises our ongoing commitment ensure an independent judicial system.
“It has been severly dented post the VK Lingam Royal Commission of Inquiry, not to mention the 1998 Anwar trial, and of course the dastardly 1988 Tun Salleh Abbas affair.
“The 901 campaign is ensure Anwar Ibrahim receives justice that day – and is freed from all the charges levelled at him,” she said.
