200 descend on PM's Office to protest FGVH listing plan

Some 200 people marched on the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Putrajaya this afternoon to protest the mooted listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGVH).

The protesters, who marched from Putra Mosque located about 500 metres away, carried two large banners stitched together with some 40 cloths bearing signatures in protest at the proposed listing.

At the PMO, the group, led by Felda NGO Anak chairperson Mazlan Aliman, were redirected to another gate where they later sent a seven-person delegation to submit their memorandum of protest.

When met later, Mazlan said a representative had received the memorandum on behalf of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, who had left on an emergency trip to attend the funeral of Perak prince Raja Ashman Shah.
